All of the modern Trek series premires were pretty good IMHO. If there was a weak one, I'd say it was TNG. It's the subsequent episodes that I find hit or miss ... or miss by a mile.

Was Neelix the most annoying character on any Star trek show? I think so.

I dunno. Wesley Crusher has to be in the running there.

He wasn't a regular, but the Grand Nagus is someone I could've gleefully dismembered at times.

And if the Nagus is in, then Harry fucking Mudd gets a stabbing, too.

An episode of DS9 would be a good antidote.

Lxuanna Troi tops my list. Between two series, her character made about ten apperances, and only one of those episodes did I not want Q Jr. to zip her mouth shut. I realize Majel Bartlett Roddenberry was Gene's wife, but come on.

And since I'm on the topic, what the FUCK were the writers of DS9 thinking giving her ANOTHER kid? Okay, she drops off the face of the galaxy after that episode, but for fuck's sake, she already had a daughter in her early 30s.

Didja know instead of DS9, we almost got "The Adventures of Lwaxanna Troi?
