My roommate here has a Wii emulator for his laptop.

How does one go about making /getting this to work?

I have downloaded the Dolphin Emulator. It mentioned something about ripping game discs.

    What else do I need?

Why would you want to emulate a Wii? Just buy one!

    I already have one.

I just want a more mobile one and not have to lug around the box and tv.

    Also, it's a cool gadget.

Buy a bluetooth sensor bar, and rip a wii game. You connect that sensor bar to your computer, and hope to God Dolphin emulates that game well.

You'll be getting ripped off if you do. The "sensor bar" is just flashing infrared LEDs, with no data connection to the Wii. The WiiMote does ALL the work. Even a $10 wireless sensor bar will work fine.

Even two candles will work well, although you probably don't want to mount candles to your laptop!

Yeah, you can play the game in much higher visual quality on Dolphin.
