Romney Spokesman makes terrible mistake... by mentioning one of his accomplishments.

First, I think it's hilarious that mentioning a candidates legislative accomplishments counts as a "gaffe" now.

Second, the bolded bit near the end struck me as sad. It's pathetic how far the Republicans are going to oppose Obama. Obama should come out against punching toddlers tomorrow, just to watch the Republicans automatically support it.

The bitch was glad she got cancer because her husband was such a fucking loser.

She was glad to die to get away from her scumbag, abusive, cuckold husband who couldn't provide for his family.

Listen, all Obama has to do at this point is lay low and keep his mouth shut until after November. I'm convinced he's already won the election. Romney simply isn't an electable candidate. He's more of a flip flopper than John Kerry could have ever wished to be. And to top it off, he's splitting his base. He needs the base to win, and to an independent like me, he looks just as inept to be a president of anything as Obama. It's another write in election.

It reminds me of Bush/Kerry of 2004. It didn't matter that John Kerry wasn't much more than a milque-toast candidate (though I liked him at the time), it didn't matter that he didn't really have any major positions on which to stand. What mattered was that he "wasn't Bush".

What we see in the "anti-Obama" party now, we saw in the "anti-Bush" party then. Romney will lose, just as Kerry lost, because no one was for the candidate, they were just against the sitting President.

As for poor Andrea Saul, I hope she doesn't get fired for simply telling the truth. I'd rather Romney defend her by telling Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, et al., to fuck off. That would be a sure sign of character in his favor.

Ann Coulter likes Romneycare, and goes through all manner of contortions to demonstrate that it's really, really not the same thing as Obamacare.

    http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2012-02-01.html

Although judging by the way she has flipped out over Saul's pro-Romneycare comment, maybe she liked it, until she didn't.

A lot of the MSM are talking about he Romneycare remarks so as not to talk about he other part of the story...The Obama ad that blames Romney for giving the Woman cancer and killing her...

But the ad is full of lies and omits many details...

1-The Woman had insurance at her own job.

2-Romney was not even with Bain when the plant closed.

3-She died 5yrs after the plant closed.

4-Bain kept the plant going for 4 more years otherwise it would have closed sooner.

How Bain or Romney are to fault for this Woman's cancer is really never explained.

Team Obama has tried to claim no connection with he ad because it was done by a Superpac by former White House spokesman Bill Burton but they themseves had used Sopic story in 2 of their own campaign videos.

As I've been saying all along, it's taken the far right six years to talk themselves into supporting Romney, so there are going to be some hiccups along the way. For all the shrieking about how we need someone with both "executive experience" and who has "run a business" you'd think they'd be interested in someone who actually fits those requirements. But they weren't until he was all they had left.

It's a superPAC ad. Obama's campaign didn't even produce it.

This is exactly why unrestricted political speech is a welcome improvement since the dark days of Mcain-Feingold. I'm surprised to see a conservative having any issue with this add.

The only problem any conservative would have with this AD is the fact that it's a complete goddamn lie aimed at gullible fucks who thought that 'hope and change' was a realistic platform.

This shit is so weak I can't believe it's being realistically discussed, even here. But considering who the OP is, maybe it isn't that big a surprise after all.

    Make your damn point.

Tell me how the Kerry/Swiftboat ads got it wrong. I remember how emotionally invested you moochers were when that happen, so you probably remember some of your talking points from that trauma.

    Go ahead.

Well I wasn't actually speaking to any specific adds, as much as to the idea that we are free to lie when it comes to political speech. And people with a lot of money can lie often, to a huge number of people. Whether this add that I haven't seen contains lies, I couldn't say, but if it does, it is the very result we should expect from Citizens United. You got what you wanted, get used to it.

Oh yeah, the ad itself is vile and misleading. No question about that.

But if you paid attention, you'd notice that the thread is about the shitstorm surrounding the response to the ad, not the ad itself. :async:

What ever John McCain's other failings were as a candidate he at least had a backbone and the character to stand up to the bullies on his own side. Romney has never and probably will never do that.

If Romney were running against Obama as a socially moderate former governor with a background of seeking innovative, bi-partisan solutions to massive problems and a strong business background, he'd be fucking burying Obama. As it is, there ain't enough mercury (or whatever that shit is) in every Etch-a-Sketch in the world to erase all the ass-kicing and cock sucking his done with the loony tunes righties. He may go down in history as the candidate who lost to the most beatable incumbent in U.S. history.

Are "you personally" allowed to vote 500k times in all the swing states? That's what it's gonna take. He'll get the braindead GOP vote, but I don't know one conservative or libertarian, OR religious fundie (they think he belongs to a cult) who LIKES the guy. You really gonna explain how this guy is gonna win. He couldn't win against Stalin, even given what Americans know about Stalin in retrospect.

It's not about people voting "500k times" (we all know voter fraud doesn't happen or at least any half way intelligent person should know that) and instead its all about making sure as many blacks as possible can't vote, as many hispanics as possible aren't allowed to vote, as many urban or poor people as possible aren't allowed to vote, or just any old person who happens to live in a blue district. We're talking native born American citizens who have a right to vote but which piece of shit Republicans actively try to prevent from voting.

That's why I don't really care who they put up as a nominee they're just evil as a party and I will never vote for them as long as they continue to be evil.

So, you're telling me that there is still a "difference" between Democrats and Republicans today? You poor thing. It's like the Super Bowl. Nobody in charge cares which team wins. It's all about the sponsors and who can buy the best tv spots. The rest of it is just entertainment. Politics is no different a sport. It just gives you the illusion that you are somehow a player in the game... and whether you are black, white, old, young, illegal, legal, young, old... you're not. But it's good to see SOMEONE is still drinking their Kool Aid.
