Saw it, liked it. It kept moving and was entertaining. The plot is pretty simple, but it's told in a roundabout way. Some terrific bike stunts.
So, could I pretend this is "Robin on a bike", the way I pretend "Whip It", is "Boltie goes to the roller derby"?
I know this isn't a scripted review, but the amount of "ums" and "uhs" and "likes" is pretty distracting. Your friend said at one point, "Um, like uh, like uh, um." You can have some fun training yourself to avoid this. Just pretend you're filming and hit each other every time someone says a filler word.
Waaaay back in the mid-60s in grade school, we were shown a film of a guy giving a speech with lots of "umms" and "ahs." Someone scratched the word into the film emulsion every time he said it. So it wasn't just that you saw the "ums" and "ahs" on screen, you saw them in blazing hot white electric-looking scratches dancing in your face. Really left an anti-umm impression on me!
