You know the one: When you find an A-HAH!!! story that you're going to use to beat The Other Side at WF over the head with--in this case a drunk driving fatality to use in the gun laws squabble--and you start reading more closely because you're worried that the story is about someone you know: It isn't sharing personal information to point out Ancalagon's last name isn't Schulte, is it?
sun in his eyes? theres no sun visor installed in a pick up? or maybe dont boot it down an urban street if you cant see or maybe just dont drink and drive
Now, if this were gun-related, Gunforge would be all "TOO SOON!!!!1! How dare you exploit this tragedy just to make a point?!?"
And luckily, none of our Seattleforgers live on Whidbey Island (although I'm not sure how I'd use a landslide to argue a point).
Drunk driving? Suspended licence? Repeat offender? That makes him as guilty of the "accident" as if he had done it deliberately. 1) Never again in his life should he be allowed to drive. 2) A good long stint in jail is in order, with that becoming permanent if he is ever again caught driving even if he doesn't cause any accidents. He is a danger to the public and locking him up seems to be the only way to keep him from driving dangerously.
