Hey, I just vilified him. I'd fire him, but I'm not in a position to do so. I'd boycott him, but...I already didn't watch 30 Rock, or his movies anyway. Can't remember the last Alec Baldwin movie I saw. Maybe they snuck him in on a supporting role on something and I wasn't paying attention. Point is, I'm doing my best.
I just went through his IMDB, and the last movie he did that I gave a shit about was fucking "Beetlejuice", 25 years ago. Ya want me to build a time machine, and not watch that one?
As of today, Alec Baldwin doesn't have a show on the food network, and his cook book isn't being published. The system works! And looking at IMDB, you can see his movie career has been in the shitter for the last hew years as well.
Not to rain on anybody's persecution complex, but there are a couple of major differences that are going to factor into what happens. The biggest is that actors are a different type of celebrity than people who use their own knowledge and personality to sell a product. An actor doesn't really have to be personally likeable in the way that, say, a TV chef or a talk show host does. Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan are still going to get work. The other is that men tend to have an easier time getting away with "crazy bad-boy shooting off my mouth" type stuff than women. Which I realize goes against the "white men are the most oppressed people in the world" meme, but there are still a whole lot of things in our society that are a whole lot easier for men to get away with.
I am missing no new episodes of thirty rock. It was one of my favorite sitcoms. Telethon for Mel Gibson was a classic.

It's always nice when a liberal shows his true colors. Especially from one who knows his ass would get kicked if he ever said half his boasts in the real world that he spews on the internet.
