Or he could just check your posting history to see you've been posting about 30 times a day for weeks now.

I don't know how much more obvious you could have been, Apostle must just be oblivious to what goes on around him, no situational awareness.

Yeah, I made the change and posted it in the name change thread the same day he made the request. And several people noted who he was. Name changes aren't that hard to figure out, I guess Poodle/Apostle/Ron Paul thinks they bring refuge from past fuck-ups.

This is nothing. Leftists, Righties, whatever. None of them are as bad as the current "liberty" conspiracy kooks. "Agenda 21" "False Flag" "New World Order" "One world government" "Bilderberg" "Rothschild" "Chem Trails" "HARP" "Vaccines cause autism" "Everything Obama does is unconstitutional" "RFID Chips" "Government is evil" "Monsanto is poisoning people" "Central Banks" "NAFTA" "Fed is evil" "MSM" "SOCIALISM" "ALEX JONES!!!1111!!111"

The internet and particularly Facebook have been driving these people out of the woodwork. A lot believe just about anything they read which plays along with their narrative and fuels their paranoia, and then tend ignore or just dismiss any evidence that debunks their claims. When someone agrees with them, they're considered "awake" and if you don't or are skeptical then your eyes are shut. I try to reason with them that life isn't the Matrix where you take a red or blue pill, but when someone is firmly entrenched in their beliefs, you might as well be talking to a brick wall most of the time.

This bothers me more than any lefty, righty or moderate demogauging their position. At least most of those conversations or debate are grounded in reality, even if there is disagreement over how such issues should be handled. I am definitely left of center, but I can easily have a discussion with someone further right or left of me. But once someone has bought into the "government is out to get you" mindset, logic and reason fly out the window and the discussion becomes pointless. I have family members which buy into the new "old" wave of conspiracy theories, cloaked into this cloud of libertarianism and it can be quite frustrating. Facebook just makes it worse... I've never seen so many quotes attributed to people who've never uttered the words before. It seems like when someone overlays words on a picture, it automatically becomes true to some people. Bothers me as well because they take it so damn seriously, that it's hard to have a serious conversation with them.

Sorry Zombie, I know this was supposed to be a fun thread. :(

Fun is only what Zombie says it is, as witness Post #3.

I'm amazed at the number of people I know in real life who really are on the infowars kool-aid. But, whenever I see the "like" on Facebook, a link share on Twitter, or a bumper stick, I know that my days of not taking them seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

I was just trying to stir up some discussion and maybe find a group of people we can all agree to ridicule and be baffled by. Isn't that usually fun?

I usually get a good laugh out of a FEMA camp or small arms treaty discussion.
