No, I can't stop you from smearing your shit everyone, but I can and will call you out for being a fucking child. When in the middle of a derail, especially when the topic is something 90% of the board is tired of, and there are already half a dozen threads, when someone suggests moving the convo to an appropriate thread, WHY WOULD YOU NOT DO IT? How the fuck is it any skin off your back? Too fucking lazy to cut and paste your response? Too oblivious to see that no one else wants to see your ass? Or just too inconsiderate to care?
I'm not "smearing shit," I'm arguing quite reasonably. And you calling me a child is only you acting childish because I'm not doing as you want. Because the issue raised involved my position in this thread. And, incidentally, I did not raise that issue. If someone doesn't want to respond to my posts, they don't have to and so you'll have nothing to worry about. If they do, then they're fine discussing it here and there's no reason to take it somewhere else.
If you're really ambitious you'll buy next year's Halloween candy sometime this week. That clearance bin is calling out to everyone willing to hide the candy for a year.
Plus Dinner is probably lying like the idiot he is. The candy was either on sale the day he bought it and then it wasn't on sale October 31 or he bought different candy.
Gul took this up in the other thread. This is the meat of my argument. The Obamacare cancellations are a consequence of arbitrary intervention in the exchange between willing buyers and willing sellers. Before Obamacare, these buyers and sellers agreed to exchange (health insurance for money) and were content with their arrangement. But the law TAKES AWAY their choice to continue on terms both had accepted. And that's the fundamental difference. In the candy scenario, one is free to choose; in the Obamacare scenario, one's choices are overridden by the state.
yeah although i find it counter productive to growth. The price of weed for the end consumer has stayed fairly stable since the mid 80's. $10/gm, $60ish/7g, with incremental savings by volume which don't become substantial until you're buying by the ounce. Even then, it's rarely more than about a 10% variation at a "retail" level. Hell, I can get you a pound for under $2K-and that's where the noticable price variances would occur. Again, generally only about 10%. Now there was a brief period between 91-93 where the price went up because we were very reliant on offshore suppliers for the actual product. People lost interest in weed during this bubble. Domestic production went up exponentially in quantities and quality improved because of it. Now its hard not to be able to find pot, well, anywhere. Why is this? Bottom line is that the product has remained accessibly priced thus creating a demand. On top of that, it's improved. Most importantly, most of the money (at least for producers) remains in country to recircualte through the consumer economy. I could probably think of a dozen people who launched straight businesses from this, including the mayor of TO.
Just fly to Baja California and you'll be fine. Heck, Tijuana is now building a new international terminal for their airport right next to the border hoping to pick up a larger share of the traffic flying to San Diego. You'd fly in and walk out right at the US border. The bonus, other than the free liquor as it is technically an international flight, is that ticket prices are supposed to be 10%-25% less than flying from select US destinations straight into San Diego International yet the two are only ~35 miles apart. Free booze and cheaper ticket prices; that sounds win-win to me.
A few years back my then long term girlfriend and I flew to Cabo San Lucas for a three day weekend and the price difference between flying out of SAN vs TJA was like $125 per person. We just drove down to the border, parked our car in long term parking, and then took a taxi to the airport. The taxi cost ~$5. We got to the same place but saved $250 right off the bat on our vacation plus EVERYONE in the tourism industry (or travel industry) speaks English and all the airlines require their employees to speak English so there was absolutely no problems language wise. In fact, many Mexicans wanted to show off the fact that they were educated professionals who knew how to speak English so even when I tried to use my (admittedly rather bad and child like) Spanish they would instantly respond to me in fluent English.
Yeah, gul started it but Paladin wouldn't drop it. Gul even started up the convo in one of the half dozen existing ACA, but the little manchild couldn't drop the hijack so went and cut and pasted gul's response and drug it back here.
so the new WF's first warning will be to a supermod in Redroom? good gawd, the terrorists have won!!!
They make a lot of hay about the Celtic origins of Halloween but at the end of the day it is just a conspiracy by the candy making corporations of America to sell more candy. Still, it is a nice tradition which allows kids to show their creativity by creating costumes/dressing up and it builds community spirit as regular people give treats to neighborhood kids. I'm sure the candy makers, pumpkin growers, and makers of fake spider webs make a killing though.
Dude. People give out Vienna Sausages for Halloween in your neighborhood? WTF? Clearly, Ohio should be destroyed. Carpet bombing is too good for them.
AND, they want to get as much as they can for the candy before October 31, because it will be almost worthless November 1. Gotta love he Ancgul show. I DEMAND YOU THINK THE WAY I DO AND DON'T POINT OUT PROBLEMS WITH MY VIEWS. IF YOU MAKE ME LOOK FOOLISH I WILL MAKE LAWS TO LIMIT YOUR SPEECH.
That's nice Volpone, but where did either of us say the stores shouldn't do that? I generally have no problem with market pricing, even when greed is factored in. You might want to go stand in the corner yourself for a bit.
