I may be rusty at time-honoured sport of Dayton-baiting, but wouldn't it be more effective to persuade him that the majority of posters have an impression of him as a right wing nut job, rather than trying to convince him that he is one?

Once that is achieved then target can move towards Dayton can either embrace the title and forfeit the ability to refute the accusation, or openly attempt to adjust his behaviour to alter perceptions?

One small flaw with your logic: Dayton's stated in the past that he thinks its only a handful of people who believe him to be a nutter, and their opinions don't count. Quite frankly, Dayton and reality are no longer on speaking terms and no amount of effort on our part is going to change this. If you doubt me, check out his "Greatest Hits" thread.

But that can be refuted via gathering empirical evidence. I know he operates in reply-by-reply fashion, but the counter requires a more structured approach IMO
