Instead of backing the Administration, the panel put together by the White House to advise it on what the NSA should be doing, the panel says the NSA should stop collecting vast amounts of data for no reason other than it can.
Meanwhile, a court has ruled that the NSA's monitoring program is unconstitutional!

Yes! This needs to be made into a bill and pushed through unanimously.

But in the end would it matter. I mean one executive order is all it takes for this administration to make new laws these days.

These days? Executive orders have been around a long time, and Obama's not the first to use them. I'll be the first to voice displeasure on Obama's surveillance policies (I hate them), but the whole Executive order issue is irrelevant.

Like hell it's irrelevant. Yeah EOs have been around for ever, but the current administration use of them is off the damned scale. Look at the ruling earlier this week regarding trade agreements where the judge slammed the administration for making secret laws. Look at how the ACA is being adjusted on an almost daily basis by EO. Dream act anyone? Drug prosecutions? This doesn't even address everything done on the intelligence front.

Obama issued 147. Bush issued 291. Clinton issued 364. Reagan issued 381.
Sorry, but he's nowhere near the edge of the scale.

"Stop and Frisk" was declared unconstitutional, too, but that hasn't stopped NYC from doing it, and fighting any and all challenges to it tooth and nail.

Woefully insufficient. The people at the NSA responsible for this need to be tried for their crimes.

Caught it just fine. Always thought it was a funny line, but when I saw how you integrated it into your funny little paranoid anti-government fantasy, well, let's just say that the Danny Glover take on that line can no longer hold a candle with your reading, which is far more laughable.

na, you just failed to make a good reference. In part due to your horrid attempts at vernacular.
unsurprising, as you generally fail at writing.

I'm starting to think you really believe that. Or maybe you just think your estimation weighs something with me.

I'm betting that pretty much everyone who has ever read your work "really believes that".

Nah, it's painfully obvious to all that you don't give much weight to the estimation of intelligent people.

I do believe that... your attempt at phonetic imitation of Afrikaner dialect was pathetic. Like, capt X posting random anime pics that no one gets the context of pathetic.

Hint-Satire still has to be recognizable as it's source

Puh-leeeze. The only publisher who was stupid enough to think your "writing" was good enough to publish, was you. The rest of us, (at least the sane ones), on both sides of the aisle, who read your posts and/or suffered through your blog entries, know that "you generally fail at writing".

You was always dumb, and remain true to form. It must eat at you, mustn't it? The notion that your estimation of me is a tiny little thing, blowing about in a wind of contrary opinion from people better than you.

    Terrible writing confirmed!

    Not a bit.

Clearly, my estimation of you is enough to warrant a response from you, whereas I've yet to see you respond to this "wind of contrary opinion", nor seen any evidence whatsoever that this "wind" isn't wholly imaginary, or anything more than the fragrant emanations that occasionally blast your face as you lovingly suckle the prolapsed Anus of Epic Fail™.

Another reference you don't get confirmed. Google it, then come back and pretend you knew all along. Again.

Fail harder, maybe you'll sprain something and give us a break from your witless nattering. Now fuck off back down the tree, Ratatosk.*

*Yet another reference you won't get.
