The value of the board increases, Anc sells at a profit and splits proceeds with the Horsemen. Meanwhile, I get nothing for my hard work.

I have absolutely zero incentive to do anything without an ownership interest. Gul suggests that if I could achieve everything I suggest, my reward would the MC modship. Yeah, sure.

So how about we start again, this time leading off with the MC modship and then we'll see where that leads.

I'm curious where this idea of profit comes from. Was anybody under the impression that Wordforge had, well ... revenue of ANY kind?

Yeah, the board's not been monetized that I've seen, tho Anc has sorta floated the idea once or twice.

You must have me confused with Volpone. There has even been the floating of a discussion of that between the owners.

We've never done anything to bring in revenue, and the few idas banded about would at best reduce the loss. This kind of site doesn't work to enrich the owners. So Flashlight, are you saying that you'd like a share in the loss?

If I was half as interested in personal information as people believe, I wouldn't have enough hours in a day to accomplish all that I get accused of.

It's actually a pretty rare event that someone does something irritating enough to inspire me to look closer at them.

Ads would be a great way to drive away what's left of the membership and all the ones who stayed are smart enough to use ad blockers.

I know I've not heard anyone lament that the one thing missing from WF was ads.

Traffic ranges between 120,000 and 200,000 page views per month ... Google AdSense CPMs are pretty darn low for a general-interest site, but the owners might be able to pull $100 or so a month out of it if they wanted to.

Clearly, we're throwing away millions! I would consider ads that disappear if you're logged in. But I'm guessing that would significantly lower the spoils.

She was one of the few posters that Garamet could debate and get people to root for her in a fight.

Honestly I don't mind ads as long as they're not pop ups or involve me having to hit a close button to see the page behind them. If it's some banner at the top or side and it's generates money for improved features I'm jiggy with it.

All those linkbait and random photo sites have ads up the ass and tons of traffic. Maybe we're too highbrow.
