Homersexual denied job at Catholic High school because a search of social media showed him not only gay but living in sin with another gay.

Curious why a homosexual would apply at a catholic school knowing the church's stance on homosexuality.

Should people not protest this? How would you respond?

Nope. So long as we cling to the illusion of organized religion and the so-called separation of church and state, the Catholic School was within their rights to deny the job application. And no, this isn't the same bullshit as what's going on in Indiana because we're talking specifically about a religious institution.

What do you think would happen if a homosexual applied for a job at a Muslim school? Would the outcome have been any different?

I'm not defending the Catholic Church's position on this, I'm just saying this is the current reality of the situation. Get rid of organized religion and amend the constitution and maybe we can finally make some progress.

Also, I have no problem with an actual religious group having religious requirements though if they are for profit then they are just a business like any other and should be required to follow all laws. If they are religious and discriminate then there should be absolutely no tax deductions or tax free status. Forcing everyone else to subsidize bigots is morally wrong and the shit stains should have to pay their taxes like everyone else.

I have to agree, why is he trying to sneak into the church's territory? Every time I hear of some teacher being fired for being gay it comes from a private school. What do these people expect? Maybe some of these gay teachers who are so awesome and want a job should go teach the kids who really need it in the poor areas. Really, you cannot keep your job in their prissy little club, and frankly you are giving gays a bad name because the idiots over there probably think it is some sort of conspiracy when it is really some dumbass trying to get bigots to like him. Which is fine, I have NO objection to people trying to apply pressure to change the church's position - as long as it's not a change forced by the government. It's a bullshit doctrine but I don't want the government to have that much power.

Who says it is my mission in life to correct their mistakes and make them see it? And then apply that to everyone. I am not saying you do not present your ideas, but who are you to determine what others should believe. If you go and put it in the church people's faces you have to be able to admit you are rude and a bit of a jerk. You do not want the government to have such power, yet you wish to wield it yourself. Perhaps that is dangerous.

I am not saying you should not, just that you should admit that you are being a dick to them.
