WHY?!?!? http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...nfirms-beetlejuice-sequel-20150811-story.html What is the EFFING POINT?!?!
For some reason, I thought there was a sequel. Or maybe I was thinking about the cartoon. In any event, everything is a damn sequel, prequel, remake or reboot these days. Enough already.
Because God hates us, that's why. Sadly, I think that its only going to continue. Movies cost big bucks these days, and studios are going to be unlikely to invest in them unless they think they have a good shot at getting a big return on their investment. Which means they want something that's "pre-sold" to the audience. The only way it'll change is if we get someone like Roger Corman, who loves making movies on the cheap and knows how to market them. But if you can do that? Why not work for someone like Netflix or Amazon, where you can crank out a series?
Oh no doubt! She can be part of my "hot Jew" collection right up there with Natalie Portman and Sarah Silverman! But more importantly.............how in the fuck does Seth Meyers have a show? Really?
Hollywood better use their new goth girl quickly because they grow up and are much less cute after the lolita phase.
*Googles Christina Ricci and Winona Rider* You're wrong. Go play "snatch the Lego out of the running blender".
OK @Diacanu name 50 goth hollywood girls that aged well. I bet you can't because there has not been 50 of them.

Why is Tim Burton making a sequel to "Beetlejuice" 35 years later? What's the point? One of the things I really like & appreciate about "Beetlejuice" is that it had no sequels , prequels , interquals , etc et al. It was & remained a completely successfully told self enclosed single tale ... until now. I am totally against this "Beetlejuice" sequel being made , but unfortunately I will have to go see it when it comes out so that I can provide accurate & legitimate criticisms & observations about it. This pointless "Beetlejuice" sequel is yet another glaring example of Hollywood being completely devoid of any originality.

The explanation for why its taken so long to do part 2, is that Beetlejuice really did sit in the waiting room with his however-many-million ticket all this time.
