So I will help them. Here is a good analysis of the 14th amendment and how Congress can put and end to anchor babies.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/birthright-citizenship-not-mandated-by-constitution

Basically, anchor babies aren't within the jurisdiction of the U.S. and therefore shouldn't be considered citizens. There's no need to rewrite the 14th amendment because Congress has the power to determine who constitutes being under the jurisdiction of the U.S. and who doesn't. It's a simple solution, the question is, will they use it? I doubt it.

Not sure who that's aimed at, but I'm pretty sure most of us are aware that Congress can define jurisdiction. They are correct, by the way, to consider people born in the United States to be citizens. So this isn't a question of the 14th amendment, just a way to determine whether somebody is an asshole.

Trump wants to tear down the 14th, so obviously Federal Farmer's latched onto his nutsack like a lamprey.

Hey, if we're tossing out amendments, maybe the 2nd is up for review, how'd'ya like that?

Nope, not tear it down, just itilize it as it was intended and more effectively rather than abuse it.

The problem, as I see it, is that Diacanu's the only one in this thread so far who can spell-check. :brood:

So illegal aliens are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US? Then the US can't enforce their immigration laws against illegal aliens.

As if everyone else hasn't already ripped you a new one...

What constitutes a person being "subject to the jurisdiction of the US" if not being in the US? The clause was only written to exempt native Americans at the time who were living in the jurisdiction of the US but not of the jurisdiction of the US at the time (that has changed and now Native Americans are also granted Citizenship at birth).

It has NOTHING to do with whether or not your parents are foreign citizens...or else you meant to tell us that foreigners can just come in here and break the laws because they aren't subject to US Jurisdiction?

So can illegals just ignore US law and stay here because they aren't subject to US Jurisdiction?

Did you read the article? Because of you did, you'd know what being subject to U.S. jurisdiction means.

Why am I not surprised that FF is repeating an argument which literally originated at Stormfront and which the courts have repeatedly shot down as unconstitutional?

So what part of "all persons born or naturalized in the United States" are you having difficulty with? Is it because it's missing the "well-regulated militia" clause?

FF is a drooling idiot and the SCotUS has repeatedly ruled anyone born in the US is a natural born citizen. FF is a drooling idiot. The matter isn't even remotely open to debate.

We are talking settled almost 150 years ago.

The internet has been a thing for about 20 years now, has any "liberals/conservatives don't understand ________ so I'll explain it to them", thread ever had the desired effect of "oh, shit, I'm so wrong on this issue, I'm going to switch philosophy/party right now! :drama:"?

If not, is it expected any day now?
Or is it a "long game", kind of thing?

Ah, another idiot who didn't read the article or the second part of the sentence.

And subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

So as far as you're concerned, this is another instance of "states' rights are more important than individual rights." I see.

It was hilarious watching O'Reilly tell Trump that actually, yes, the SCotUS has repeatedly ruled that the 14th means everyone born in the US is a natural born citizen while Trump kept repeating, verbatium, the argument originating from Stormfront, one the courts have rejected for over a century that some how that wasn't true. I mean when O'Reilly is your voice of reason you know you are far off the reservation. Yet the delusional dB fucks keep claiming to believe it because that is what they want to believe.

Facts and reality just don't enter into the equation for them. This has become the norm for how the right wing operates.

Findlaw.Com will help you find case law. No, I will not humor an ignorant fuck like yourself over laws which were settled in the 1870's and 1880's. Even I have limits.

Nope, not going to play that one. Like I said established over 100 years ago, well over 100 years ago, so I will not play "Is the sky blue?" with tards. Either you are vaguely aware of American law or you are not.

It appears you are not. You might as well demand proof that the constitution provides for free speech or free assembly because those are givens and I won't bother with games disputing those either. I will just write off such a person as not being in the reality based community then move on.
