I never watched the American version.

I also don't want to wade through five seasons of drug deals to see what I missed.

Why would I binge watch something like that when I haven't even seen season 2 of Enterprise? :flow:

Because Breaking Bad is 100,00,000,000,000,000,000 times better than Season 2 of Enterprise.

How can it be better when it doesn't have a temporal cold war? Maybe if Walter White was selling his drugs in the past it would be interesting.

Look i didn't expect breaking bad to be awesome. Here, before even making the remake, they promote it like it's awesome. I mean what the fuck Bollywood. Where's your soul?

I tried watching Breaking Bad. I didn't understand the appeal and thought it was mediocre at best.

5:22 into the Mexican version trailer that guy looks a lot like a guy who was on my crew 12 years ago! And weird - that guy came up hot on a piss test too.....:calli:
Anyway the Mexican version seems a little more believable because the Mexicans are (like the US) all about the drugs, especially growing/making/trafficking/killing/kidnapping and all the other niceties of the drug industry. But the Mexican Walter White's wife is......not very hot. :( The Indian one has got to be a hoax.

I was not interested in Breaking Bad because I hate meth heads. But my son talked me into it (since has the DVD set) and I was amazed - one of the best series ever made IMO. Great characters, great performances, great writing.....the full package!

Just remember.... the same guy who played Walter White, played this guy.

And this was just a great mixing of both shows.

For now, it's just a joke. But then it's Bollywood. They'll make anything that can earn them money. And most Indians follow the actor not the act.

I felt Breaking Bad had too much bad language.

It's drama. And how can you portray bad behavior without bad language?

They did it for decades in various highly regarded classic movies and televisions shows.

There isn't much you can't say with damn, hell and occasionally ass.

Breaking Bad was allowed to use 'fuck' once per season. So other than that, what was too much bad language?

IIRC (didn't see remotely near every episode) they used God's name in vain (godd***) a number of times.

My wife will not watch a television show or movie where that kind of language is used and gets upset if she can hear it even in passing so I avoid such shows. One reason I stopped watching "Suits" much.

The exception about language was "Unstoppable". Amy tolerated the language there just fine though she did notice it much more on the DVD.

People won't watch some things for various reasons. My in laws will not watch a television show that features a homosexual character as a regular. One of the reasons they stopped watching "Major Crimes" despite being major "Closer" and G.W. Bailey fans.

It might just be a reflection of the times. When I was growing up "grown ups" pretty much got along with damn, hell & ass. And us kids would get in BIG trouble saying any of these!
F-bombs were quite rare, so when you heard one you knew someone was extremely upset. These days my dinner table on any given night would blow "Breaking Bad" out of the water. And I would think my family is very typical blue collar/middle class. Regardless, Breaking Bad tries to portray bad people (pardon the pun) and the people who fight them (DEA) with believable dialouge. You might as well get it "warts and all."
