Just curious. Off hand I think Carolina is simply the better team so them winning 31-14 over Denver would not be a surprise to me. Peyton Manning managing a couple of touchdowns. That said, It was only two years ago that Peyton Manning and the Broncos ran into a team with a superior defense (Seattle) and were torn apart 43-8 and it wasn't even that close. Manning and his coaches are smart, they're going to realize that they can't simply play business as usual and come out on top against a superior team. So while I think Carolina is clearly the better team, Denver pulling the upset would not surprise me at all.
Even though I hope Carolina wins, I won be placing bets. Every time I bet on sports, it never works out. I know, it's highly illogical.
As a UT alum, I love Peyton...but as a born and raised Carolinian, I'm pulling for the Panthers. I'm watching the game in a cabin full of my Knoxville friends, so I'll be the odd man out.
Born and raised in SC. I love Carolina, but my second team is Broncos, so if Carolina does lose, I'll be upset, but not as bad as when the Pats beat them.
I'll be rooting for the Broncos but I expect Carolina to win in a blow-out. At least four touchdowns.
Two football questions: Why would a team pick OJ's famous vehicle as their symbol? Why isn't there serious discussion about whether OJ was pretty badly brain damaged from his time in football, leading to erratic behavior?
Stupid question as to the former. Good question as to the latter. I can suggest a couple of reasons: 1) IIRC OJ's career was cut somewhat short by knee problems plus he played shorter 14 game seasons so he was less subject to repetitive head blows. 2) OJ had an extensive career in acting and broadcasting after his playing days ended and one would think that chronic erratic behavior would've been noted then. About the only erratic behavior OJ was noted for was his repeated instances of domestic violence directed at his second wife.
I'm just wondering if OJ fits the pattern of players who went downhill in later life and ended up with all sorts of behavioral problems, and whose brains showed all kings of damage during autopsies. You'd think his defenders (if he has any) would bring that up, even trying to make him a poster boy of head injury.
Denver has a better defense and better receivers. Carolina has the better run game and the hot qb. Question is, when Denver takes away Carolina's limited wr's, te Olsen excepted, will their run game be enough to win? To be honest, I'd be surprised to see Cam throw 2 td's in this game.
I remember when they were talking about the police chasing a slow moving white Bronco, I was wondering what John Elway did.
Well in regards to OJ Simpson, CTE can only be diagnosed through an autopsy. So I say we have at it........
I heard a sample of the dialogue from Robert Kardashian, who is telling his then school aged daughters that there are more important things in life than fame.
Captain America Civil War trailer. Deadpool trailer. Ghostbusters trailer. Independence Day 2 trailer. Outside chance bet- Rogue One trailer.
My Super Bowl prediction is I'll go to a couple of parties, get drunk, maybe get a DUI, most definitely hit on women inappropriately and make misogynist comments when they shoot me down.
I'm not a sports fan, but my prediction is that one football team will be victorious over another football team. But I've been wrong before!
