Fine. A question is still words. You technically "asked a question" which made an inference as to what I had said. Thus you put words in my mouth. Man up and own up to what you said. "lawyer".
Well, it is the fact that I am a lawyer that tells me the difference between a question and a statement. My question invited you to clarify your position. When I asked you if you had assumed something, all you needed to say was "no" if it were untrue. Did you start this thread with the assumption that the non-religious hadn't read scripture, or the opposite - or something in between?
Uh, no. Not at all. In fact, in most cases, my guess would be that most Christians have NEVER read the Bible.
I suspect this is true in Judaism and Islam as well, which is why so many followers of religion are so open to different interpretations.
A reminder to all that this thread is in the Green Room. If you want it moved to the Red Room, @Dayton3 , say the word.
You have to admit, though, that despite being phrased as a question, it was leveling an accusation. I don't need to be a lawyer or an educator to see that much.
Asking questions of religion and making fun of the things that don't make sense =/= anti Christian. I'd say Diacanu has been the most vitrolic again Christians of anyone besides Flashlight 1.0, but even he's mellowed out a bit.
Note that El Chup the "lawyer" started it. Apparently being a "lawyer" means you don't have to obey the rules.
