Suffice to say, I really enjoy NetFlix and really enjoy being able to watch new discoveries (mainly movies) and re-watching old shows. And I've also been a member of NetFlix since around 2002 or so. My current binges are the following. X-Files - I'm really enjoying watching the episodes again, I'm surprised at how well I can remember the basic plots of the ones I've seen so, but also enjoying seeing what I've forgotten about them. The HD remastering is amazing and really makes the show much more enjoyable than the last time I tried to watch the episodes on NetFlix. Better Call Saul - Great having a refresher on it before the new season starts. My Name is Earl - Damn, that was a funny show. And a real shame it was cancelled. It great one liners in it, my favorite one liner so far is from Patty the Daytime Hooker. "I tried, Earl. I did! Towards the end I even pulled out my good boob!". And Catalina and Joy are still hot. Star War the Clone Wars - Some of the episodes are better than others. Overall I'm enjoying it. The series started of somewhat light and kid oriented. But definitely gets darker each season and less kid oriented which makes the later episodes better. Star Trek Enterprise - I blame @Kyle. But I still enjoy the show, make of that what you will. But I still like it. Doctor Who - Was watching it, I already watched the entire NuWho run available on NetFlix, and was making my way through it again. I managed to watch them all again except for about 4-5 of the Capaldi episodes. I'v discovered more than a few good movies, most of them have been thriller/horror type of movies. Some of the movies I wound up liking more than I thought I would were. The Oculus - A haunted mirror that takes people. Sounds dumb but was actually pretty good. Last Shift - A haunted police station, new rookie on the job. Started off slow, but was decent overall. The Chosen - A haunted... kid? Some kind of possession, a bit cheesy but ok. Contracted and Contracted 2 - Liked the premise overall of the first one, found myself not really caring about the main character or most of the other characters. The second one had more likable characters. The idea was an STD that is a virus, but the symptoms especially one the major ones makes it more of a parasitic infection with side effects caused by the parasite(s). There's more, but I can't remember the name of them right now. Any movies or shows that you've discovered on there that you're enjoying or would recommend?
Jessica Jones, which was great. I binge-watched the first 1.5 seasons of Twin Peaks, but, just like audiences back in the 90s, kinda lost interest after it was revealed who killed Laura Palmer.
Daredevil Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Jessica Jones Orange is the New Black That's basically what I watch on Netflix. Might try Sense 8 and Bloodline this year.
I recommend Sense8 but you have to treat it like a movie - you will sometimes be tempted to bail but when you see the whole thing as a piece it's well worth it and makes cohesive sense. Plus, some of the performances are great. That's not a full answer worthy of the thread but I'm going to bed.
That's what I keep hearing, and why I'm hesitant to see it. I do like JMS but the Wachowski's have been on a bit of a losing streak ever since the first Matrix. Never saw Jupiter Ascending, but I did see Cloud Atlas and that movie was confusing as hell.
I may have to catch back up with Longmire. I think I watched the first two seasons. What gets me is that the murder rate in his little neck of the West must be about 10,000 per 100,000. How do they avoid a population collapse? and @Sjsharksfan39 Jupiter Ascending is fine if you don't have anything else queued up. The critics panned it but it's still a fun movie, and I'm sure on paper it looked like it was going to be a great movie. But alas, it didn't exactly work.
Peaky Blinders is good. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 93% on the tomatometer and 95% of users like it, with season 2 getting a whole tomato.
