Most Facebook groups requiring approval generate a notification to any friend already in the group when a person requests membership. It's only if the group administrators choose to lock it down further that a more official process is involved.
Castle owns it. Don't get all excited, it's pretty much as big a wasteland as TK became. The only regular action is him...bitching about this joint.
Castle also started a new Facebook Wordforge group, invited me to join, and then either closed his account, or blocked me from seeing it, despite the invite.

No, he let me in, but then blocked me from seeing anything to do with John Castle. So the only post that was ever there was some screed about how gul is a big fucker, but now that's gone, and the group no longer lists him as a member. It's almost as though he were kicked out of his own group.
Ahh, I do miss reading Castle's infinity meltdown. It must be driving him crazy that we can no longer see his ranting.
He tried to weasel his ass in here a few minutes ago, so clearly his other ventures are going very well.
So I see from the neg rep I've just received. God he's pathetic. Still sulking over a banning from over a year ago. I think I genuinely underestimated how sad the guy is. Note that a year after his banning his great masterwork "My Blood Runs Cold" still hasn't made it beyond it's first chapter.
Yeah, I think "pathetic" adequately covers it. How sad is it that he creates two accounts, logs in with the first one in order to pretend he's a new user and immediately takes to issuing pointless reps that do nothing? I mean, really, they do nothing! All of that effort, just to leave a rep that makes no mark whatsoever against the poster.
You'd think he'd at least have the brains to at least use an IP hider, set up a new account and then lay low for a while. Oh, but not Castle. He sits there thinking "I'll just keep registering obvious duals over and over and make myself obvious from the start - that'll work". What a masterplan!
Oh, no, he does that too. Over the past few months we've seen him try many different ways of getting in, and he usually manages for a short while. It's just so very sad, though. He doesn't admit what he did, he doesn't apologize, or seek any kind of reprieve, he just keeps right on fucking that chicken. The single minded determination would be admirable, if it wasn't a crazy man digging a hole to China with a bent spoon.
He's not going to apologise to try and get back in. In his eyes that would probably be like admitting defeat and after his year long cry over at Troll Kingdom to him that'd be like cashing in what little dignity he has left, not least because asking to come back in would inevitably involve having to deal with self sworn enemies like @gul. The irony is that if he just sucked it up and promised not to threaten or dox any board members again he'd probably get back in, just like others have in the past (well, at least until he gets wound up and shits the bed again ).
That's what's funny (and a little sad). Rarely does Wordforge ever permanently ban someone with no hope of return. He could have ended this a year ago, but instead he chooses to dig back in under the fence, so he can take a little more abuse before being kicked out again. It's like he craves it, and that truly *is* sad.
Well, he's gonna need something to satisfy his cravings while he waits for his next welfare cheque meth fix!
You know, if you look at the reviews, there is one from several years ago, so when he released the first part to great fanfare here, it was already several years old and incomplete. He will never finish that book. All honesty, though, I've come to the conclusion that flashlight is even more deranged than Castle.
