..not a permanent vacation, just our annual week at an oceanfront beach house in Rhode Island. 4th of July should be fun down there. I'll miss you guys. :)

Thanks. Fantastic beach bars and restaurants. Waterpark for the kid. Lots of friends of ours coming down. Good tunes. Going to break out the telescope and see the planets up close as there's little to no light pollution. Fireworks. You're ALL invited!

Sounds nice! We head up to Maine Saturday morning for some camping. Definitely looking forward to some time in a more remote location. Great idea about the telescope. That reminds me that we need to pack up my son's, as it will also be quite dark at night where we will be.

Have a great trip and enjoy yourself. :)

I have the Celestron NexStar 6SE. It's fabulous and has a handheld computer for calibration. I've seen the rings on Saturn, Jupiter's weather and 4 of it's moons, great views of Venus and Mars. You'd love it. Couldn't recommend it more. And it's portable.

That's great. Have a blast. My brother will be at OOB from Saturday on as well. Always fun in Maine. Hit the Weathervane in Kittery.

I've got Chicago and St. Louis later in July for work. Gibson's is on the radar. Thanks.

The only telescope I had was the red cheap ones. I'd like to get a nice one, my mom gave me an old star map book from the 80s back in the 90s, but I wasn't able to make good use of it.

My brother went to one of the best culinary school in the country. Here's how he tells me to make them. They are awesome and easy to prepare.

Peel off the membrane on the back.
Put your favorite rub on them.
Don't put any sauce on them.
Steam them in beer in a pan covered with foil at 225f for 4-5 hours.
Paint them up with your favorite bbq sauce.
Grill them for 10 minutes on each side on a charcoal(not gas) grill.
They will fall off the bone.
    Eat up!

I use a dry rub on rib racks. By the time they're done, the brown sugar and spices have combined with the juices from the meat to make a "sauce".

If I barbecue boneless pork ribs, I will usually baste them with a sauce toward the end of the cook, but that's boneless ribs are leaner than bone-in so there's no fat to help make a sauce during the cooking (which is more of a grilling because it doesn't take as long as bone-in ribs).

That's my usual technique, although when I have enough time, I go start to finish on the grill. The oven part is replaced by banked coals in the Weber, ribs over the drip pan, beer in the drip pan, and the hood over the grill. Active involvement is required every half hour or so, adjusting the fire, so it's not quite as hands off as the oven. The extra smokiness is well worth it. Also, I usually try to apply the dry rub the night before.

Ahh, that is not very nice, Quest. For the others thank you the suggestions. TLS's suggestion sounded best to me so I will give it a try.

Posting from magic kingdom while kid has a nap in buggy (stroller).

Got to say im impressed at the business acumin of the mouse. No wonder he can buy star wars. Im in magic kingdom the now, its as big as as the UKs biggest theme park plus theres another 5parks around it plus disney hotels. Every punter paying £300 quid like me, 72,000 staff. The mouse is the guy from billions!

Im quite liking the use of technology, wifi throughout, everything linked to your pass, app and wrist band. Everything working like a well oiled machine.

Loaded up on a denny lumber jack slam this morning. No wonder you guys are all fat bastards :finger:

A man from a nation that produced the full English breakfast does not get to whinge about calorie laddened breakfasts.

Oh, and don't give me any Scotland vs England crap as you are the same bastards with slightly different accents.

You were quite happy to identify as scottish a year or so ago, but that was before you went racist of course. :finger:

English/Scottish breakfasts are not healthy, i'll grant you that. I suppose the difference is that ours dont come with a side of pancakes.

Kid fell asleep just before our time for sing a long with frozen. Ideal. Wifes in watching the show anyway, im sitting with the sleeping baby, having a beer in view of the star wars stage. Couldnt have planned it better.

I am half Scottish and identify as such... That is why I like to take the piss once in a while.

Oh, I am not racist, thank you. Race truly does not matter to me while culture and ideology do.
