So is Chris Christie at a Burger King somewhere crying his eyes out over a super sized Whopper meal?

Do you think gay rights is more important than the debt, solvency of SS and Medicare, police reform, banking reform, school reform, wars, terrorism? Those are the most pressing issues that should have been addressed yesterday and are effect everyone. Gays have the right to marry what else do they want, 50 cent wings, discounts at Denny's? The needs of the many my friend.

Sarah Palin is no great loss. Though not for the reasons most people believe.

Yeah, some others on that list did, too, and yet, they are unavailable for a major party event scheduled years ago. :chris:

I've always felt her "shrillness" and how to I put it "earnestness" as if she thinks that her thoughts and beliefs are somehow inherently worthy of being heard were very off putting and annoying.

I know people will accuse me of thinking my thoughts are also inherently worthy of the same but I am not running for office of any kind.

I'm glad they are holding to their guns, let's hope they keep it up if he's elected.

I was really hoping it was because of incoherent speeches like this, but I'll take self righteous bullshit.

I mean I'm glad that they aren't supporting Trump and if he's elected I hope they go against him if he proposes something stupid and no I don't care if they are in the same party. Blind loyalty to party is why things are so fucked up in the first place.

no one is going to solve the debt problem, Medicare, or any of those other problems. Obama has, Duyba didn't, Bill Clinton didn't, Bush Sr didn't, nor Reagan. Nor do I expect that of Clinton, Trump or Gary Johnson in the unlikely event Americans get truly fired up and he takes enough votes to win.

I don't expect any of that to get solved, so I'll settle for having a President that most of the world won't place on a no entry list to the country and whose VP isn't pushing women and the LGBT community back into the 1950s.

The he doesn't have the judgement to serve as VP. Much less president.

For me, the most fundamental underpinning of what I want in a president is someone with a basic sense of justice.

Wanting to roll back the clock and deny civil rights to minority groups is a sign that a candidate is actively hostile to justice, and that's what everything else springs from.

Rep. Mia Love (Utah) is also skipping the convention. She (and the Utah GOP) don't want her to be too closely associated with Trump. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/donald-trump-utah-democrats-mia-love-221224

Yeah, that was by no means an exhaustive list, just some of the higher profile types. And the various groups trying to unbind the delegates from Trump were still working on it up until yesterday. Seems Dayton is completely wrong, what a surprise!

No. He's dumber than Quayle, by quite a bit. Pence is a genuinely stupid and incompetent politician. Think Louis Gohmert with a bit of a filter, but not a very good one.

Not sure how you regard Obama killing our supposed (hopefully) enemies by drone absent the traditional sense of US "due process".

Justice? Is Obama a swell fellow? A cunt like Trump with different packaging? Trump has pretty much admitted to NYT and others that he's just talking trash for votes and to stimulate debate about an ignored topic as big as a hippo.

Which is the worse offense to "justice?" Murder (arguably, particularly if your name is Henry), or trash talking?

Can you not read? I pretty much said that. It benefits both sides to cry about these issues to fire up the ignorant masses, yourself included.

I'm under no illusions about that, and I haven't been since college, but as Tafkats said, it's not asking too much to have a President and VP who can be respectful of diversity.

:bump: Because I just happened to stumble across this tonight and remembered how Dayton claimed he didn't vote for Trump. It almost makes me wish he were still around so I could rub his nose in it. Nah, not really. I don't miss him at all. :D
