A few years ago when I was in LA I came accross a curious phenomenon: a "nail bar". Being my usual exploritory self I went in to see what it was about, but was quickly cut off by the sight of a room packed full of black men who soon indicated I wasn't welcome. When I asked what the place was for I was duely informed "this is a place where niggaz who can't reach their feet anymore come to have their toenails cut." Indeed, they looked pretty fat. So anyway, the other day I was in town in Wellington, NZ, and low and behold I saw a brand spanking new "Nail Bar" had opened. I have not seen one of these in NZ before, and upon entering I was virtually ushered out for a second time... this time becase the shop was very up-market and full of beautiful women having all sorts of manicure's done to their nails, hand and feet. At least I can still reach my toenails.
I've been lucky not to need such places. My fingernails grow out quickly on their own, all I gotta do is buff 'em if I'm ever bored enough to do so.
