Yeah, not sure which team to support in that match-up. I guess the National League. Go Dodgers, go Cubs!
I'm happy with this outcome. The potential to be the team that eliminates Boston is outweighed by the misery of having Boston advance by beating the Jays. I'll take my chances with Cleveland and won't be as morose if we don't win.
You've got to hand it to those National League pitchers. You know, the pitchers who actually play baseball (throw the ball, hit the ball, catch the ball)? Arrieta hit a three run homer last night. Too bad the rest of the Cubs weren't quite as successful at the plate.
Once the Redsox were out, my main goal was that the Giants not win another World Series. Mission accomplished!
I'd really like to see the Cubs win it in my lifetime, Now is as good a time as any. If not them then I am pulling for the Jays.
Watch this. It will be crazy. Kershaw in the 9th after the dodgers used their closer in 7 and 8 for the hold?
No kershaw yet. Still warming in the pen. Jansen has 7 outs and his highest pitch count of his career.
Still want the Dodgers most of these four teams, but Indians and especially Cubs would also be fine. I'd rather not see Toronto win, just for division rivalry reasons.
Wow, I'm about the exact opposite. No way Dodgers. Would prefer Cleveland or Toronto. As a Cardinals fan, I simply can't bring myself to think of the Cubs winning it all. Actually, my preferred scenario would be a Cubs/Indians WS, with it going 7 games, and Cleveland pounding Chicago in the deciding game. Ya know, just to maximize the pain that the Cubs fans would feel.
Well, I've gotta hand it to the Cubs...they got the job done, in an epic back-n-forth, extra-innings Game 7. Honestly, I was rooting for Cleveland, because a) I'm a Cardinals fan, so any additional suffering by Cubs fans is preferable, and b) I know a few Indians fans. And the way they came back and almost pulled it off was fun too watch. Would've actually been better than the blowout game I'd hoped the Indians could've played. Great series by both teams.
Are you kidding? Of course I was watching! I loved the way it seemed we were fated not to have a winner between those two teams. Good on the Cubbies for the win, though!
WOW! How AWESOME Chicago must be like Times Square on New Year's Eve, but on steroids! The Cubs last World Series was 71 years ago, right after WWII ended. And to FINALLY beat that 108 year old drought is really awesome!
