Anna, Anc, Dinner, Volpone, myself just to name a few..........every vet on here can feel their pain. Military finance owes you money, good luck collecting that. The burden of proof/mistake is on you, and be prepared to hunker down for the long haul. I knew a few army air traffic controllers finally getting their "certification pay" after 18 months of their entire chain-of-command helping them out. Anywho, hopefully this doesn't push the PTSD guys & gals over the edge because national guard members (contrary to popular belief) are very much a well used asset in combat zones. I don't know about other military branches but army finance was, is, and always will be FUBAR and I am not at all surprised about this. No this is not Obama's/Bush's fault so down't go there. This kind of shit happens no matter who is in charge. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/pe...y-bonuses-report/ar-AAjhxVH?OCID=ansmsnnews11
Same as my son pretty much. He just couldn't "blow it off" anymore when he saw serial insanity, apathy and incompetence. It's like M.A.S.H. but without the laughs.
No kidding. In the civilian world, there's incompetence and favoritism but there's systems in place and some chance of justice if you were wrong. In the military? Good luck with that if you get on the bad side of anyone in your chain of command. One girl I worked with got harassed by a psychotic Master Chief who literally re-write instructions on liberty to fuck with her and threatened the CPO mess if they tried to let her board for her surface warfare pin....and all this was because this chick was friends with a guy who the MC's husband worked with years ago and who got in trouble over some dumbassery. Goddamn, the Navy had more drama than a soap opera.
I hear you! The difference between theory (how the military is supposed to work) versus how it really works (reality) is as wide as the Grand Canyon. Young people today are hip to the hypocrisy. Nobody is "straight off the farm" these days. Young people are doing their time, getting that GI Bill and getting out. This keeps up and the military will end up with "the worst of the worst" among their new recruits. The last of the old school crew are retired. The ones who came in during the war are getting out. The new folks are part of the "PC generation" and according to my son who saw a lot of them considering he worked processing basic trainees they are about as pussified as pussified can be.
