I am not a big Rick fan. The show is based around his history, but his character development has been blah. I like what they are doing with Carol. For a character that was not in it that long in the comics she really has developed in the show. So much has gone on with her that I am interested in, even up into this season where she is obviously floundering. I love how the show can make you hate a character and then redeem them. I was really sick of Morgan for a bit but now I am wondering what he is going to do. I am even wondering if Dwight is going to get some redeeming moments. I still do not see the full reason Negan has control, but the last episode seemed to make a bit more sense. I agree that if they focus too much on Rick you lose out on the other characters who are a lot more interesting imo.
Carol and Morgan are my favorite characters hands down They are followed by Darryl and. . . Negan. Rick comes waaaay down the line. He's a bore, a lead the writers obviously don't know what to do with. And that's not even bashing Andrew Lincoln because boy that guy can act.
Negan is great because he enforces the rules. A society has to have rules. He not only knows how to get things done, he knows how to delegate. And he's upbeat, funny, and optimistic.
Did anyone else notice what happens when you write down (register) all the guns in the community? Yeah, Negan happens, and then you've got no guns and no way to defend yourself.
Well maybe Rick wouldn't be Negan's bitch if he hadn't gone for universal gun registration. Negan, on the other hand, upon finding that Rick's group had universal gun registration with an armory where guns had to be signed in and out, and upon finding the tiniest inventory error, was going to bash in the skull of the gun registrar with a baseball bat. How can you not like that? I think Trump should adopt that as official policy for any municipality that wants gun registration.
No Enid, not coral. He is fucked up. The boy had to kill his own mom with a broken lawn chair while in prison. That was because she was all Kardashian and was sleeping with his dad's best friend. You don't need that. I am pretty sure at this point Rick is going to molest the hell out of him thinking he is his dead wife. This is coral we are talking about. His only purpose in the series is to get brutalized so much that Rick goes even more insane. Oh, and why the hell does coral have eleven hair? The boy has been converted in guts and dirt for the past year and his hair flows like legolas. He is the prettiest one in all of the zombie apocalypse if it was not for his mangled eye. I know Enid's choices were son of porch dick and even younger son of porch dick, but I am sure someone else will fuck her now that Glen isn't putting the moves on her. That Jesus boy has long flowing hair, and he can grow a beard unlike coral. Oh, and Negan better beware because they have the young innocent one, the black one, and the natural so all they need is a bitch and they can call the corners and kick his ass millennium witch style. And Jesus he wants to go to Venus leaving Negan far behind
Well finally somebody does something. Find put where Negan is instead of whining and pining? Cool move, br... I mean, sis. Because of course. While Rick sits at home and cries his pretty eyes out, the ones who actually, ya know, lost someone get active. I'm gonna enjoy the moment Maggie kills the fuck out of Negan
If the bad guys take 1/2 (or more) of what everyone has, then would they be able to visit/steal from any camp more than twice before they camps were completely devoid of everything? In other words the other groups "working for" Negan aren't bringing in anything - or if they are, they don't show that. Just askin'
Yea that was some 1993 CGI Anyway, I had hope there for a second for the most unexpected of deaths. Rick eaten, Michonne (and Carol ) taking over the show? Hell yes! But alas... no dice. Still good. S7 is really good so far. I wonder if they'll go into S8 with Negan still out there.
The first half of Season 7 made me lose all interest in the show, sadly. It's just no longer my cup of tea.
The show is quickly becoming like the comic series... same old tired shit just repackaged and rehashed. It probably has one more season left before it becomes a complete snore-fest. The Rick-Michonne romance really isn't doing it for me, either.
But they have done that for many seasons. Go - big bad - kill - go on - big bad - kill - go on and become more and more like all those big bads in the process I have said it years ago and I'm saying it again. The show needs a goal. They had one back in S1 but since then, endless wandering. Obviously in circles because I'd have found a boat by now and set out to some tropical, zombie free island on which they can sit out the crisis until the last walker has rotted away. Or at least raided Fort Benning for guns or something. If they continue like that it's gonna be a long sunset for the show. S8 should be the last. One that finishes the story, preferably with a few survivors finding a cure/the ultimate safe place/a plane to miraculously zombie free Europe/whatever. Anyway. Still finding S7 more enjoyable than the last two. Didn't mind the change of tone this week either. But please for fuck's sake stop with the fake deaths.
Right? One of the most watched shows on TV, people paying god knows how much for ads and that's the best CGI deer they could come up with? I am disappoint.
Well to be honest, the CGI walker herds don't look too convincing either. Probably not too important on TWD so it's the intern's job or something
Well, that was quite an unsatisfying season-ending. Not surprised that viewership has been declining steadily. The fact that I had to resurrect this thread from the third page of an internet BBS full of sci-fi geeks (myself included) is also telling. As I said a few posts up, the show is quickly becoming like the comic series... same old tired shit just repackaged and rehashed. If the series wants to survive past next season, they need to break away from the comics and figure out their own path. Daryl (who doesn't exist in the comics) is really under-utilized in terms of being a game-changer.
Who keeps giving bullet magnet, AKA coral, a full auto gun? You are just asking for friendly fire deaths with one eye behind the trigger. Question with spoilers: The show is getting old. They need to win app it up before it is too late to end.
Well I didn't find it that bad. Better than last season's but well, yeah. They played the limbo there and the only way was up anyway. I'm OK with it. Hope they won't drag out 'the war' over the whole next season.
Pretty sure they only said they'd worked out the scheduling, which makes sense since production had already begun on the other show while this season was wrapping up. I wouldn't characterize it in any way as a "flat out lie".
I didn't figure out Walker Sasha. I knew she was dying but honestly that episode dragged. And the trashme betrayal. Fuck your lame story telling. This was their opportunity to go on the offensive. Instead they were as inept with their billets as an A-Team episode and were largely on the losing side again. 16 episodes to get here of all places?
