This isn't surprising in the least. I actually read part of one of her books, once. You know, I love books, and am against destroying a book for any reason (except in cases where survival requires it), but I was sorely tempted to set that book on fire and call upon an old priest and a young priest, because it was some of the nastiest, most vile dross I'd ever read in my life. The entire text of what I read was nothing but constant lying, gratuitous use of hyperbole, and page after page smearing innocent human beings with broad brushes of brazen bullshit. She should be a lesson in what not to aspire to as a human being, someone whom we should see and say "we have to prevent anyone else from descending to this organism of congealed protoplasm and fetid water. We can be better than this."

Probably a deliberate troll, choosing that one number out of the whole countdown on a day that could just about arguably be '14' although not quite really. The real demonstration of what the person and her camp stand for is in the followers' interpretation, their glee over the white supremacist message, and her seeing no need to correct it.

I've said it before, I think it's a lot smarter to measure someone by who fights them, and who they follow, than by who follows them. At any rate, she does pretty clearly correct it in her feed, and there is evidence she did have the same off-by-one countdown going in January and February of 2015, before she (it looks like) got bored of it, picking it back up 2 weeks before inauguration (and certainly not forgetting to keep it going through Obama's last day).

Indeed it was. The day she sent it was at the end of Jan 5, 2017. Or 14 days before the end of the Obama administration and the beginning of the Trump administration. The hint seems to be that she started the count down around 30 days out and then counted down to zero.
