Depends whether you enjoy dancing or not I guess. My view isn't that different from yours. I think the last club I was in that I went to of my own choice (as in not being invited along for, say, a birthday). was over a decade ago. But I did quite like them as a teenager.
Millennials are either unemployed or broke, still live with their mothers, and all to often don't even have a car. Where are they actually going to do any chick they actually get up the courage to meet? Hell, at least my generation had the back seat of our cars to fuck in but they don't even have that.
This is so not true. In doing this whole yoga teacher training I'm meeting a large swath of younger millenials all under 30. They have money, live on their own in nice places, and have great jobs. They just don't care about what you care about. They care about their experience in this life, and are careful with their time. They will actually take a job with less money if they can have more vacation time. They aren't buying huge TV's and other assorted crap, they are getting outside and doing shit. I'm good with that.
Besides, if you're still living at home and don't own a car but still need a place to have sex, there's always Uber.
To be fair, Oklahoma rents for whole apartments and probably even smaller houses costs as much as one room in San Diego. I don't blame any Californian for staying in the nest as long as possible.
the clubs are expensive and then there is the problem of how to get home after drinking. Personally, i have an iTunes account that is in excess of 150 gigs, and a wide screen tv. We can stay in for movie nights, dancing, and shitface.
Yes and no. I think you failed to factor in the income compared to cost of living factor, and the fact that downtown has exploded and more than tripled in housing during the recession that hit the rest of the country but not here. Also most of the yogi's in this class are predominantly from other parts of the country who moved here and don't have their parents even near by.
