Salient to Wordforge demographics... 4chan: The Skeleton Key to the Rise of Trump In addition to the older generation of men who lament the loss of manufacturing and such, there's the younger generation of 4chan-surfing, basement dwellers. They're underemployed, they struggle with women and gender, and they like Trump because he makes them feel better about their fail.
There's a lot of overlap, but in general /r9k/ is extremely anti-feminist and pro-school shooter, and /pol/ is racist and anti-Semitic. Both boards had a lot to do with spreading Pepe the Frog and most of the other memes that came out during the election.
The kind of lazy, shallow "analysis" that guarantees the Left won't be able to win back the White House in 2020. They have zero comprehension of why they've lost middle America.
But I thought all the people who voted for Trump were old white men. Weren't the Bernie Bros supposed to be the basement dwellers?
Why would you think that? No, they were aspiring chads who found out supporting Bernie could get them laid with leftist chicks at parties.
They should have known all they had to do was bring them to the basement to see their mint mane 6 collection. Well, that and then dressing up like Applebloom for some pony sex.
You should go read the fun sites on the left where they are eviscerating white women. Even leftist white women who support all the nutty leftist stuff are not spared. The left is truly turning into a hate-filled asylum. And yet leftists think they are going to waltz back into control of the House and Senate in 2018 and the White House in 2020?
I've not seen anyone seriously claim the Senate is in play or the House is likely to go Dem. Most I've seen is that the House is in play IF Trump stays as unpopular as he is now. I think there is an expectation that 2020 will be won by Dems. Combination of Trump continuing to be Trump and failing to deliver on his (generally impossible and unrealistic) promises and the 'learning' that the young voters who stayed at home for Hillary are experiencing. It's a lot easier to tell yourself that there is no difference between Rs and Ds when you've never experienced an R president in your politically cognizant life.
I've seen plenty of people on the left talk about taking back Congress in 2018. You're actually one of the few rare ones who know that would be very difficult to pull off. It could of course happen but the odds are slim. 2020? No way to tell at this point who wins that. I'm not seeing anyone on the Democrat side worth a damn and given that Democrats are busy tearing into each other I don't see anyone being able to unite everyone. Seems the left is splitting down the lines between Hillary/Obama types vs Bernie types.
Some genuinely funny stuff has come out of 4chan. But like all trolling it gets purely destructive at some point. However I wouldn't give the internet in general as much weigth as some do. Them angry white dudes don't seek out 4chan, FB or whatever while swilling beer in front of their trailers. They are just angry with the world because they feel it has left them behind.
