I'll admit that Nunes is a bit of a dummy in his handling of things but this scandal is still brewing big time.
Yes, I'm sure 2 months from now we won't see only a few dozen die-hard followers with home made t-shirts loitering on the White House lawn. I'm sure this will go places.
Intelligence official who 'unmasked' Trump associates is 'very high up,' source says http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...p-associates-is-very-high-up-source-says.html Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible -- and that person is not in the FBI. .... Nunes has known about the unmasking controversy since January, when two sources in the intelligence community approached him. The sources told Nunes who was responsible and at least one of the Trump team names that was unmasked. They also gave him serial numbers of reports that documented the activity. This was long before Trump sent out his now-infamous March 4 tweets claiming then-President Barack Obama “wiretapped” Trump Tower during the 2016 election. Nunes had asked intelligence agencies to see the reports in question, but was stonewalled. ... In addition, citizens affiliated with Trump’s team who were unmasked were not associated with any intelligence about Russia or other foreign intelligence, sources confirmed. The initial unmasking led to other surveillance, which led to other private citizens being wrongly unmasked, sources said. .... What did President Obama know and when did he know it? Looking more and more like a valid question as time marches on.....
What's mind boggling is that it's looking like Trump leaked the very freaking documents to Nunez that he turned around and briefed Trump on.
Nope. The building Nunez went to is on White House grounds. It's a secure location for viewing classified materials.
Yep. Both people who gave him the documents have connections with the White House. Trump leaked them.
Trump didn't leak. Two people who work for the administration did. Nunez briefed Trump on the papers while keeping the sources secret meaning Trump didn't know his own people leaked it. Why would he brief Trump if Trump was the one leaking it? No. The two leakers didn't want anyone to know they were the leakers to Nunez.
Because the whole thing was staged to create a diversion and keep gullible people convinced there might be something to Trump's lie about illegal surveillance.
Only if it is done by the Swiss. Certainly can't trust Republicans or Democrats. Plus the Democrats are assholes. No matter who is leading the independent investigation they will attack them claiming they aren't independent. Democrats will refuse to accept anything that doesn't agree with their point-of-view.
Claims she knows nothing about Trump surveillance. Is caught as the one who was making multiple requests to unmask Trump and his people as he gained the nomination and than after he was elected. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/arti...ser-sought-names-of-trump-associates-in-intel This explains why Nunes had to go to the White House grounds. Her logs were only located there.
https://audioboom.com/posts/5780534-4-3-17-mark-levin-audio-rewind.mp3?source=rss&stitched=1 That link is for the Mark Levin show. The first hour of it he talks to Adam Housley of Fox News and Eli Lake from Bloomberg News about Susan Rice and what they've uncovered. Adam Housley was asked if others besides Trump and his people had been unmasked and he said he couldn't comment on it. He was also looking into seeing if others besides Rice had done any unmasking. He's still working on the story.
According to mindless leftforge and the trash media upon which they rely, there's nothing to see here. Later, when the trash and garbage sources that moronforge relies upon begins to cover the story, almost certainly there will be nothing but crickets.
CNN is hilarious. They've all but come out and said the story is fake but they can't go that far because it's not fake. The rest of the mainstream media is doing all they can to ignore this story...... Meanwhile...... Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce “detailed spreadsheets” of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova. “What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday. “The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.” Other official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova’s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election. Susan Rice’s White House Unmasking: A Watergate-style Scandal Her interest was not in national security but to advance the political interests of the Democratic party. The thing to bear in mind is that the White House does not do investigations. Not criminal investigations, not intelligence investigations. Remember that. ....... Understand: There would have been no intelligence need for Susan Rice to ask for identities to be unmasked. If there had been a real need to reveal the identities — an intelligence need based on American interests — the unmasking would have been done by the investigating agencies. The national-security adviser is not an investigator. She is a White House staffer. The president’s staff is a consumer of intelligence, not a generator or collector of it. If Susan Rice was unmasking Americans, it was not to fulfill an intelligence need based on American interests; it was to fulfill a political desire based on Democratic-party interests. .......... As Director Comey explained, in answering questions posed by Representative Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), those three agencies do collection, investigation, and analysis. In general, they handle any necessary unmasking — which, due to the aforementioned privacy obsessiveness, is extremely rare. ........... Thus, Comey added, these consumers “can ask the collectors to unmask.” But the unmasking authority “resides with those who collected the information.” Of course, the consumer doing the asking in this case was not just any government official. We’re talking about Susan Rice. This was Obama’s right hand doing the asking. If she made an unmasking “request,” do you suppose anyone at the FBI, CIA, or NSA was going to say no? .............. Politics. Trump was ignored for the most part until he got pretty far into the primaries, than captured the nomination, and than won the election. The Obama White House was looking for any dirt on which to attack the incoming President. Looks as if some gross violations of civil rights has taken place but the left as usual doesn't care because it's their side doing it.
I'm not pretending that I completely understand this, but isn't this happening to Americans all the time? Being spied on and having legal conversations monitored?
I'm kind of confused too. Wasn't this while the FBI was investigating the Russia connection with Trump's campaign?
As much as we like to joke it is happening the answer is no it's not. First there is simply too many people to spy on. It's impossible. There really is not enough computer power or storage in the world to do it. Second the Alphabet agencies want to concentrate on real targets. Your average American is not worth it. It would be a massive waste of resources to have to sift through everything. Third, with few exceptions, the government employees do follow the laws of the land. That's how we know about this Susan Rice stuff now. People followed the law and recorded her actions in the logbooks. There is a paperwork trail.
