The long awaited adaptation of Neil Gaiman's phenomenal novel premiered last night on Starz. Frankly, I found it riveting and amazingly well done. Your thoughts?

Gotta love Gaiman. The last thing he is is conventional.

Thanks so much for pointing that out, I almost missed it! Looking forward to checking it out. The novel is amazing.

Watching the first episode now. That's some weird shit now. But impossible to look away!

It's included on Amazon Prime btw for non-Americans. Hope this is not a trick and they start charging. Because in that case I'll have to start pirating again on principle :borg:

I read the book and the show is nearly dead on to what I imagined. Casting McShane was genius!

Produced by Bryan Fuller, and directed by David Slade, if you like the way that combo looks, check out Hannibal.

Yeah, we're getting kinda spoiled being able to do that with Netflix shows . . .

With few exceptions, I almost never watch a single episode of a show. I'll wait until several of them are on the DVR and then I'll watch several at a time.

I have ten eps of The Flash and three Agents of SHIELD on the DVR waiting for me to get to them.

It's funny what you make time for and what you don't. I'm halfway thru Iron Fist on Netflix and not feeling any urgency to watch more. I'm going thru the new MST3K pretty quickly. My DVR, like I said, has half a season of The Flash still waiting, but The Simpsons and Finding Bigfoot and Lucifer (just started back up!) and The Big Bang Theory don't last a day before I get to them. And that's assuming I don't watch them live, altho these days I'm much more likely to be playing MechWarrior Online during TV prime time.

I like Modern Family, but there's almost two full seasons of episodes on my DVR. Just haven't made the time to watch them all.

Not to mention the huge piles of favorite old TV shows on DVD I have stacked up for weekend lunchtime viewing - Mod Squad, Name of the Game, The Rookies, I Spy, Rawhide... All of them on hold 'cause I got Netflix, and got caught up in the Marvel shows and Marco Polo. But just one ep at a time for me.

Penn claimed to be Neil at the premiere. BTW, Neil is standing behind Penn (though not visible) when he did this.
