could be a lot of fun, could be cringe-worthy...but the casting seems pretty good in at least a few spots
I'd rather watch this Star Trek parody than what passes for real Star Trek these days. But I hope it doesn't get irritating like Family Guy. This has potential but I would like to see some story arcs and some likeable characters. Also this seems very similar to Galaxy Quest, which was also a Star Trek parody.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I with Seth Macfarlane was producing/writing the new Trek series. Anyway, this looks like it has potential, I hope it's good.
Looks pretty good, only couple of bugbears is with the "best helmsman in the fleet" and "one of the Unions most accomplished physicians", things like this work well without the best of the best. The Krill look like the Jem'Hadar a little, and it feels a lot like Galaxy Quest, and the look is good. Quite like MacFarlane's humour, so reckon I'll be watching this - assuming we get it in the UK...
I really wanted not to like it... that didn't happen. But I'm sort of mixed on it. Seth McFarland can do some funny shit, while at the same time falling flat right after. "Those are marbles" probably had me laughing too long at it, but I found it hilarious for some reason. The "Anti Banana Ray" was funny, but not laugh out loud funny. The bit after was funnier. Am I the only one that thought 9:15 was a bit late for the first beer of the day?
It's always 9:15 somewhere in the world. Can McFarland do a series without something like a Brian or Roger? You just know Yaphit is going to become like those.
I'm being serious. @Nova or @shootER , you need to change the thread title to something else if we're going to discuss this show.
Good to see her bounce back after ABC fucked her out of her Agents of Shield spinoff. Which was already her apology prize for being fucked out of being Wonder Woman.
