Btw you will find very few red staters in the STEM field I work in nor among the various high paid engineers and computer programmers employed in this very blue state.

Yes, they make plenty of money. But they don't actually "make money." Businesses invest in lesser-educated individuals in the hopes of making a return. The truth is all the achievements made in fields such as medicine and biology are made by physicists and mathematicians, not biologists and doctors. It's just the way it is.
