Just my opinion. Conventional wisdom has been for years that a president needs to remain in the U.S. as much as possible or be seen by voters as "ignoring the needs of Americans" or something to that effect.

I think President Trump actually looks far better when he is on overseas trips though.

Not that he'll listen to that advice.

    1) Leprechauns have tiny everything, not just hands.

    2) Only their hair is orange.

    3) They have actual hoards of wealth, not just what they can bullshit as "items of value" or "depreciation on property I can use to offset taxes"

No surprise. But then again, George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan were not all that popular overseas either.

Any American president that proclaims a desire to put American interests first over the interests or potential interests of other nations is not going to win a popularity contest. Especially in Europe.

But just because I hate my quarterback I still block for him.

If you're on the team, sure. But you're the coach - either you put him on the team or you refused to bench him when you found out he was useless.

I could believe it if you despised him as a person, but supported him because he was a good president. But at this point, not even you could claim that with a straight face. So we're left with you despising him as a person and as a president, but supporting him because he's on your "team." That I can't respect.

Nixon was a bad person and a bad President, I wouldn't have just liked him because he's the President. Barack Obama was a bad President in many ways, but he's generally not a bad person, George W. Bush was a mostly bad President, but I don't think he's generally a bad person, I can't say that for Dick Cheney and so far, I can't say that for Trump. Yes, Trump has done a few, and I mean a few good thing, but every President does a few good things, even the bad ones.

I doubt many presidents are "bad people". Because the modern American political system makes going alone and getting along with others pretty much a necessity at many points in a life long political career. Naturally "bad people" tend to find it more difficult to get along with people.

Perhaps if President Trump had been in elected politics a decade or so he would've been a much better person.

The Poles had to pay people to cheer for him (even bringing them in on government buses just to make sure they actually showed up) and the Israelis distrust him so much they stopped sharing intel because the dumb ass outed their single best intel source inside ISIS.

Because the positions you're taking aren't based on personal conviction or independent thought, which I would respect even if I disagreed. It's simply blind partisan loyalty.

And since you like sports metaphors, it wouldn't be any different. I get that you're a fan of the team, but be a smart fan. Don't tell me the quarterback had a great game when he turned the ball over four times and you lost 31-6.

At least in the NFL, historically the greatest quarterback performances are in losing (often badly losing) efforts.

Because if you're winning the game you aren't going to have your quarterback passing the game 50 times in the game.

What makes you think that. I've always been a supporter of reducing illegal immigration. And some other policies that President Trump has supported.
