I've heard of him, never a fan. He had a big hit (maybe "I believe") that had a lyric " I like...little baby ducks, old pickup trucks" and me and my buddies you to bust on it. It cracked us up to the extreme. Hey, when you're in your late teens, early twenties of course a line like that would crack you up. I guess you had to be there. Anyway, we have been losing a lot of old school musicians lately it seems! Okay I just heard the video, no - the song we were busting on wasn't this one. It was a real slow paced song, and I think it had a tacked on string section.
Troy Gentry of the group "Montgomery Gentry dead today as well. Helicopter crash just hours before a concert in New Jersey. I loved the very melancholy song "Old Coyote Town". It's about a son talking about his dad growing old in the song of the title where the singer was raised. It made me think about my daddy. Then again lately almost everything does. Especially this week.
