A new study on the impact of gun restrictions in states where controls are strict compared to those where laws are more lax from the Journal of the American Medical Association as written up by the LA Times. I looked for the original online and couldn't find it. Anyone who finds it please add the link.
It has been well established by researchers that more guns just equals more gun crimes and more gun deaths.
It has also been established that the number of Red Room threads about guns is directly proportional to me blowing my brains out when the thread devolves into a technical discussion of firearms.
Seems the LATimes added a link after you posted this: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2673375
Yup. Throw medicine and research, along with all that other sciency stuff, on the pile. Hey, I know! Maybe SHRERPL will volunteer to pray the guns away...
They needed a study for that? In other news, people who own guns are a 10000% more likely to be shot by their own guns than people who don't own guns.
Well, if ignorant people who know nothing about guns would educate themselves before talking about banning certain guns then we wouldn’t have these multiple threads.
Clearly you feel there aren't enough threads in the RR for you to comment on "ignorant gun grabbers." If you're too ignorant to comment on the article, you're in the wrong thread.
Here are my thoughts on the article. Once again that we should leave things up to the states and smaller government is better.
Which has nothing to do with the article, but you got to make one of your little speeches again, so if that's all you've got, thanks for playing.
The. 357 Magnum Force magazine clip is obviously what's at stake here, even though the AR-15 crotch rocket is more than sufficient.
Oh and the #never again idiots, never, never, never, never, never, never, ever going to happen, you're never going to prevent all school shootings.
We should just merge any and all gun threads into one big mega-thread where the gun-grabbers and the gun-fuckers can argue for all eternity.
A boxed set would be an excellent idea. They were given their own forum to discuss the nuances of grips and scopes and all that jazz, but they can't help themselves from trying to co-opt every thread in the RR as well. They sure are trying to impress us with how mature and rational they are.
Yep, why even try? Keeping the 2nd Amendment Holy and Pure is much more important than the lives of gun-grabbing 16 year olds.
