    There is only one developed country on that list. Which is unique no?

    Add in that China (our main export partner) is no longer taking our recyclables, instead replacing them with domestics and that chart will look pretty different moving forward.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any good alternatives to disposable plastic bottled water for drinking in China.

    If I used the tap water, it would have to be both filtered for heavy particles and boiled, which is impractical.

    Water delivered in re-usable plastic jugs (attached to a dispenser machine) has not been of satisfactory quality in the past.

    Thus I use around two 1.5 liter bottles per day, and there is no obvious recycling service in my community.
