    To heck with The Walking Dead, AMC's new go-to show is The Terror, based on the novel by Dan Simmons.

    Check it out. It's pretty damn awesome.

    Simmons is my favorite author, but I've never read The Terror. Still, I figured it was "must watch" TV, so I've tuned in for every episode so far. Not disappointed.
