You may have set a new low for this forum. And coming from a self-admitted drug addict that's saying something. Good luck with all that dude.

Netflix is also where you can find Dinesh D'Souza's bullshit, as well as just about every kind of conspiracy theorist "documentary" that exists. So... no.

It was Trump who claimed to be the only person who could "fix" things. I've never heard anybody make that claim for themselves except for one guy...but I can't remember who that was now...

What's funny is that this is exactly what Trump planned to do after losing the Presidential election--start making more media and maybe even his own channel.

As did David Letterman, Kevin James, The Wachowskis, Tina Fey, The Duffer brothers (Stranger Things), and a bunch of other creators. Since those shows are doing extremely well, I'd say the Obamas are in good company.

I find right wing backlash to this to be a bit odd. Every president has programs made about them. It is called history. To think it is some left wing plot to make a documentary or drama about the first black president the US has ever had is just stupid. Of course there will be one. You would be stupid not to make one. The only interesting thing is netflix is doing it, but that is just because netflix is relatively new compared to hollywood and television.

The right should get used to it. Obama's presidency, despite how you may think about it, is part of the progression of black civil rights from slaves to the top executive office. Whoever makes it to be the first female president, the first gay president, the first trans president, the first non christian president, the first hispanic president, the first asian president, or any other president aside from old white dude is going to be part of history. Reagan was our first actor president, and there have been tons of shows about him. Despite not caring much for trump he is going to have documentaries and programs about him after his presidency. It is not a right wing plot, it is because people like documentaries about important people and history.

Here's what I'm going to do. Anyone from right, left or center can feel free to follow my example or not. If the premise of a program the Obamas are behind is interesting enough, I might watch it (provided that by then I have a Netflix account or that the program is so compelling that I have to subscribe). If not, I won't. As a footnote: very few shows clear that bar these days.

I am not going to be bothered with it, but that is because this sort of thing does not interest me no matter who it is. I just think if it is your thing to watch these things and you ignore it because it is about Obama then you might be suffering from ODS.

I just put my Netflix sub on hold. I have Hulu and Amazon Prime. Between the two, that's a LOT of movies and TV shows.

I mean, I gave Dubya's artwork a shot and I fucking hated it. I don't expect much creativity from former Presidents.
