Mitch McConnell's Stolen Supreme Court Seat Is Already Fucking Up America

None of the state's require union participation of anyone. The question is should people who directly benefit from other people's efforts in a business setting have to pay for at least that small part which they directly benefit from. Political lobbying and other expenses were not something they had to contribute too. As it is specifically about direct business negotiations the Republicans really did lie and deliberately try to conflate the two issues and that is why this is clearly a bad ruling based upon obvious political motivations.

The argument being put forth is that, for government employees, issues germane to collective bargaining are inherently political. The First Amendment protects government employees from having to support such political expression. The litigant in question received the benefits but balked on paying the fees because he felt that such fees were a form of forced political expression.

With Anthony Kennedy retiring, and a new seat open on the U.S. Supreme Court, the LGBT, Muslim, Latino, and Hispanic communities are going to be in a precarious situation. They could lose their rights, their freedom, their lives, all possible in a court with overwhelming antipathy towards their existence.

You honestly don't believe John's screeching that gays, Latinos, and Muslims might be murdered by the supreme court isn't scaremongering? I can see fringe issues which effect people coming down in unfavorable ways by 6-3 right leaning court but I can't see the mass killings he claimed to be possible. Yeah, that really is scaremongering and acting irrationally.

There will be a ton of bad decisions out of this court but mass killings will not be one of them.
