TL;DR - Unlike when Cloudflare deplatformed Stormfront, no one seems to care that everyone deplatformed Gab. Is this the new normal? Is it right? How much difference does it make who does the deplatforming; like does it matter more as an ISP vs web infrastructure vs payments infrastructure vs. web app services.

The problem with Gab seemed to be that they were completely unwilling to police themselves. How long does a website really expect to last when they can't be arsed to take down death threats and calls for violence? At some point you're going to get shut down. Either by your host, domain register, DDoS mitigation service, or eventually through civil suits and law enforcement.
