I was banned there several years ago for what was seen as showing indifference (some say outright mocking) of homosexuals who commit suicide. Given I can't log on there I was wondering if someone here can put through a request that my ban be lifted?

Tell you what, you need to do something first. If you print out a large sign, an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper will do. With this on it, take a pic of you holding the sign, and post the pic on here, I'll do it.
