Anything that involves a meaningful vote at the UN, for starters.

You've shielded them on shit that you'd use as justification for regime change in swarthier, more Muslim nations.

Do you even understand what the military industrial complex mean? Companies like GE get government contracts and profit from war, as of late GE was MSNBC’s parent company, they are the corporate schill for war and fired Phill Donahue because of his anti-war stance. This is why the MSM is no longer anti-war. The one you’ll see talking about anti-war is Tucker Carlson and Tulsi Gabbard.

70 years ago corporations profited from war.

Modern military procurement is different though. Military operations in places like Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan divert funds from the procurement of weapons systems which are the big money makers for defense contractors. The fighting we have today moves defense funds from "procurement" to "operations" (especially fuel) which has far smaller profit margins than actual military hardware.

Thus "peace" is actually where defense contractors have the chance to make the most money as peacetime is when spending goes straight into the procurement of new hardware.

    A) We aren't doing much actual fighting. The occasional airstrikes and shooting Russian mercenaries when they attack our handful of bases.
    B) I believe we are there due to the horrendous carnage occurring in the Civil War.
    C) I believe we are there in a major way because the Russians and Iranians are major players in the Civil War.

    A) is irrelevant, we shouldn’t be there period.
    B) Who do you think started that civil war?
    C) Russia and Iran wouldn’t be there if we weren’t there in the first place

Can you name a country with a better human rights record than Israel where I've advocated for regime change?

From a human rights standpoint, Muslim citizens of Israel are better off than they would be just about anywhere else in the Middle East. There are over 400 mosques in Israel. How many synagogues are there in Saudi Arabia?

Israel is probably the policy area where I have the most in common with Trump. Israel is a lone liberal democracy surrounded by oppressive fundamentalist dictatorships that don't think it even has a right to exist. If we want to be a moral leader in the world, then damn fucking straight I think we should have their back.

With some of his actions, like moving our embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing it as Israel's capital, you could probably convince me pretty easily that the move was unwise and likely to backfire. But that's a matter of strategy, not underlying principle.

People forget that there are Muslims in Israel that have citizenship, are allowed to vote, have been elected to the Knesset (parliament) and serve in the IDF.

It's interesting that you'd slander everyone who opposes them as terrorists. That's exactly the same tactic that the Saudi's use.

And if someone says Israel's government are worse than Saudi Arabia's, they'll be wrong. If they just say that the ruling party in Israel habitually violates human rights, a criticism shared by almost half the country's voters, however, then whatever happens in Saudi Arabia no more changes those crimes than it changes those that happen in Washington. (Or Berlin, for that matter, not that anyone here cares about that.)

It sounds like she considers Israel one of our closest allies. Which it is.

As to what situations we would or wouldn't continue to send aid? I don't know. But "the entire United States burning to the ground," as you offer, is such an unlikely scenario that it's useless in an argument.

According to the book "Dark Eagles", Israel sending a number of captured Soviet built fighters to the U.S. after the Six Day War, allowing the U.S. to examine them in detail and fly them allowed the U.S. Navy and Air Force to develop much better tactics for dealing with them in Vietnam. It was estimated that Israel's help saved the lives of hundreds of American pilots over Vietnam.
