Please, this is Wayfair we're talking about. Half the furniture would have broken within the first day of being delivered. The other half would have arrived damaged. Not exactly a humanitarian gesture to ship people garbage.
You voted in the guy who tweeted covfefe and hamberders. You don't get to call anyone else's thoughts drivel for the whole rest of your life.
We all got your point, even if you were hiding it under your hat. obtuse ADJECTIVE Annoyingly insensitive or slow to understand. ‘he wondered if the doctor was being deliberately obtuse’ ...emphasis on deliberately.
"Housed" doesn't normally mean "imprisoned", you know. If they were actually just housed, that would be okay.
If you aren't here among humans because you're running scared from the rest of the goblins, what the fuck IS your deal?
The US is a nation of "problem solvers" so let's sum this up: 1) too many people are coming across the border at the same time 2) we currently don't have the facilities on-site to properly care for them 3) the system(s) already in place to deal with immigrants/asylum seekers must be at least acceptable because nobody said shit about it five years or so ago 4) we can't "speed up the process" without serious security compromises 5) we can't speed up the process of revamping or changing the current process a possible solution to brainstorm: 1) while only short term at best, solicit volunteer medical assistance, logistics, and construction materials and labor to house, feed and provide basic comfort and safety to the masses (women & children first of course) 2) take politics out of the equation as much as possible. Encourage bi-partisan support to stop bitching and get organized (get the entire nation involved) in actually handling the most basic part of the problem, which is the day-to-day of adequate living for the masses currently under our care. Just my 2 cents!
Pretty much what folk are trying to do, only Trump will veto any bill that doesn't pay for his fucking wall, as if that's actually going to stem the flow. The Senate and the House have each agreed about the same amount of funding, but McConnell is blocking the House bill because he's "the Grim Reaper of any Democrat-led bill" and because the House bill has extra protections woven in for the kids (gotta leave CBP that wiggle room to taser the odd three-year old who doesn't like the gruel!). Just my $4.5 billion in funding that could be used to do what you say right fucking now except for Trump's ego and McConnell's pandering to it. Best case scenario at this point is accept the Senate bill, as Nancy seems to think it's not TOO bad, just doesn't bake in enough guarantees it can't be loopholed or reappropriated to the wall.
Politics is not evil. It's what happens when there's a disagreement on how to proceed. Taking politics out of the equation and working along bi-partisan lines when one party wants to violate some of the fundamental principles of humanitarian law is code for going along with that shit.
No, you have to be housed, in the sense of generally needing shelter, period. That is not sufficient reason to detain you or to debate whether or not you should have a bed.
That is being imprisoned, and we have time limits for how long you can keep people, and bail systems.
Nobody’s debating whether or not these people should have a bed except Democrats. They’re the ones boycotting and protesting the company that makes the bedding. They’re the ones who said no to adding more judges so we can speed up the process.
All three are false? So there’s no boycott of Wayfair? https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/26/wayfair-draws-backlash-calls-for-boycott-after-employee-protest.html
US DoJ lawyer: Trump: "So, I said today, I said today, I don't want judges, I want ICE and Border Patrol Agents, that's what I want." Who treats facts as obstacles again? You're dancing around internment and snarking that the folk against internment aren't letting you buy the prisoners toilet paper, when you're the ones making them shit in a communal crapper that's in the middle of the room where they also eat.
Wow that is such a twist. They are protesting the fact we have concentration camps and want the people let go. Way to be intellectually dishonest. Since the boy has me on ignore someone else tell him that.
THERE IS LITERALLY A VIDEO OF A DOJ LAWYER DEBATING A JUDGE ON WHETHER OR NOT THERE SHOULD BE BEDS You fucking imbecile, that's a Dayton level stupid post
so what is stopping all the Trump hating rich celebrities (the ones who entertain us with their "Trump = evil" shtick 24/7) from pouring all their time & money into a big rescue mission near the border? Rent ranch lands and other spacious areas and get to work building housing and hiring medical & health experts, and lawyers of course. It would inflate their self importance and show the world that they are morally superior to Trump/conservatives and.....last but not least.....actually help the huddled masses until the government gets their shit together. The Democratic front-runner who could make this happen (and claim the credit if successful) would get a huge leg up for 2020. I firmly believe that both sides adhere to the "never let a crisis go to waste" mindset but whatever it takes to help the situation I'm all for it!
