And you have done something wrong. Not only have you impersonated a law enforcement officer and in doing so encouraged sexual assault, you have expected @shootER to not cooperate with an investigation out of some imagined personal loyalty to you.

Let me be clear, a couple of people here may have questioned the actions of the TBBS member who reported you and I had promised to keep his identity to myself and have done so but given that he's now been outed anyway Hugo is IRL a detective whose speciality is sexual offences (I know this to be true btw). He saw what seemed to be a fellow LEO in another country boasting of sexual assault in a public forum and did his professional and moral duty by reporting said LEO to his US counterparts.

That wouldn't have been a pleasant experience for him, probably caused him some distress in fact, but he did so anyway because it was the right thing to do. Then it turned out that not only was it untrue, but it was you thinking you were scoring points against a web forum which had banned you years before.

What exactly do you expect here? I've voted "no" in the other thread but let's not make any mistake, you did a grave wrong and risked far more severe consequences than any we are aware of.

I see nothing morally wrong with lying to prevent or correct an injustice. It is not a triumphant of honesty to announce that "the Frank family is hiding in the attic".

Of course sex is important.

It's part of the social glue that makes a society, it's an expression of love, of joy, of appreciation of each other. It's also incredibly good fun.

Equally it can be ugly, a weapon, a source of shame, a way of exerting power over others. That's when it becomes or should be a crime, which is what your alter ego boasted of.

And that's leaving aside the little fact that some of us use it to reproduce because it's so much more. Crucially though it isn't a matter on which I choose to judge people provided they are engaged in consensual activity. I don't see it's my place to point a finger and shame someone simply for being human and expressing themselves as they see fit, especially if that is done in privacy. I don't care if you're having sex with one woman or twenty, whether you like men or are flexible on your preferred anatomy. I don't care if you see your marriage as being monogamous or open, what positions you enjoy or fetishes you indulge in provided everyone involved is there freely of their own volition.

Lying, impersonating someone, wasting police time and promoting sexual assault, however, are all very damaging acts which are frowned on and (in many cases) punished with good reason. The sad thing is you were actually proud of the fact and are now confused as to why people didn't congratulate you for your little prank.

The answer is because you did yourself and everyone else a disservice and even the people you thought would cheer you on were disgusted, embarrassed and angry at your poor judgement.

The problem is he (assuming this whole shit show isn't one massive adopted persona) bases his entire concept of right and wrong on a literal reading of the Bible so sees nothing wrong with something which either isn't mentioned or he can interpret some script as endorsing.

In his case it's a petty matter as far as we are concerned, can't speak for his real life acquaintances, but you and I both know how dangerous a theological worldview can be without being tempered by a whole lot of critical thinking and introspection. Scaled up to those with larger ambitions it becomes very serious indeed but happily our friend has no grand schemes to act upon.

I would not say that. I simply did not see using an image of someone who I didn't know and didn't even know the name of to be "causing harm" or "committing an offense". I figured someone puts their image on the internet is allowing its use. At least if it isn't altered.
