The Chief of Police is on record saying the guy would have been fired and that the case will still be investigated as if the cop were still on board. I guess it remains to be seen if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm becoming more and more convinced that American police hiring procedures and standards are in need of serious review and revision.
(As Tererun) They rejected his debit, but took his SNAP card instead. But he had whiskey dick. Also, something about Dayton fucking a donkey.
Assuming, of course, he's found guilty of murder. He could be acquitted or found guilty of a lesser charge (like involuntary manslaughter).
Well I'm proud of wordforge. None of you lowlife cretins made the obvious parody thread "Texas Cop Shoots Woman For Her Welfare Check".
I had to google ACAB and I disagree! Some cops are, but not all. It's the same way for any profession, and that is a fact. Whatever your profession is I guarantee you have them among you.
You: John/Shiro/shootER/AwesomePossom/Nova are the worst people and the second coming of Hitler! Muslims are animals that deserve glassing! SJWs are the devil! Also you: WF is too toxic these days
I can’t recall ever calling someone Hitler, it may have happened, but I doubt it. It certainly is not something I do over and over as you claim, liar. I don’t recall ever calling SJWs the devil either, that is just not something I would say, though they do tend to be stupid people who simply want to control what everyone else says. Oh, and Islam remains a uniquely hate filled and evil ideology which is incompatible with any civilized society. Not least because it doesn’t just tolerate violence but pretends god orders all manner of violence to be carried out in his name.
Was it the fact that I spoke English, in whole sentences that make sense, without cursing, hating, or degrading the divinity of human sexuality? If that makes me a Dayton, so be it. Nevertheless, I am not Dayton.
Claimin that another member is your dual is pretty obnoxious. What did poor NotDayton do for you to traduce him in such a fashion?
didn't you call me all sorts of stupid for saying the exact same thing a few years back? that whole "nano second of finger motion can make all the difference" bullshit after commenting on a similar AD?
Apparently, even though the non-emergency number was called, and the neighbor said nothing about a burglary, the officers responding to the call were given a description of the house normally given when people suspect a burglary. https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/16/us/police-response-fort-worth-shooting/index.html
So the department is already making CYA excuses for the cop. I think this is called establishing reasonable doubt.
way to go Perry Mason! Seriously though, that does sound like what they are doing. It very well could be completely the inexperienced cop's fuckup and has nothing to do with training or procedures. They would have to examine previous similar situations to see what went right or wrong, and compare those to the current (obviously) wrong way for a cop to handle this situation.
Probably called you stupid because there was something else that you said which was stupid. Plus you're Canadian.
Not a cop. Don't know. But based on the article it does explain why the officer's were going around the house instead of knocking on the door. Still think the officer was in the wrong though.
