I dunno if it's corona related, or that DC Streaming is dying, or if DC streaming dying is exacerbated by corona, or what. So, I had to make it its own thread. Anyway, yeah, that's happening. I hope they don't bleep it. They had "Deadly Class", f-bombs and all.
Is this a different Harley series or the animated one with Kaley Cuoco that has been airing already? The animated one is fantastic. I think not enough people are watching it so hopefully it gets a wider release on other platforms/services.
Yeah, the series is one of a kind. It's perfect at being exactly what it wants to be. Aside from turning Ivy and Harley mostly straight, that is.
It’s really good. Well written, well animated, and a great voice cast. Kaley’s performance is right up there with Arleen Sorkin, who originated the character on Batman TAS.
already into S2 So much better than the live action, Margot Robbie version. new ep today... thanks for the reminder!
This was hilarious. And so are the other clips on YouTube. But not enough to pay what they want to join DC Universe.
Granted, we're only three episodes into season 2 and the entire first season was mostly focused on Harley getting past her relationship with the Joker, so I'm willing to wait a bit longer to pass judgement on that. I hope to God the animation world has learned a lesson after the fiasco that was Voltron's last two seasons and the bad marketing blunders there, but Hollywood management is every be as conservative as the reddest parts of the Bible Belt.
well, they sure managed to suggest some subtext to Ivy and Catwoman's past... serious girl crush, at least. also noticed that Clayface has an affinity for playing young female roles, and that Dr. Psycho is deeply closeted with some serious Red Queen issues.
While I expected Harlivy would surface eventually, I figured they'd let Ivy make a clean break from Kiteman first. Between this and She-Ra, May 15 may as well be called Lesbian Media Rights Day
I purchased a year of paramount plus today and I'm on the second episode of Harley Quinn and I love it. I love that they're doing the Bane voice from TDKR.
Did Batman know the “acid” was margarita mix because if he didn’t, he should have attempted to save Harley instead of going after the Joker.
The heart wants what it wants. But I'd assume the world's greatest detective could easily smell the difference.
So, I got the first 2 seasons on disk the same day as Discovery season 3, and I'm about 15 episodes in, and I think that's deep enough to decide.. 1. This is tied with "Doom Patrol" for my favorite DC show period. 2. It's the most joy the Batman-verse has given me in a long fucking time. 3. I think...this just might be my favorite adult-animated show period. Better than the 90's MTV shows, better than Adult Swim, better than Fox. 4. Better than Birds Of Prey/Harley Quinn sweatlessly. If Margot Robbie wants to do that Harley & Ivy movie, and wants it to be any good, she should just throw Clayface, Dr. Psycho, Killer Shark, and Kite-Man into the mix and be done with it.
There's a lot of little details that don't always come through depending on the medium. Example: Spiderman and Captain America have distinctive accents as New Yorkers.
Yeah, Harley’s is supposed to be Brooklyn, I think. That the one thing I don’t like about this show and Margo Robbie’s Harley, they don’t really do the accent.
I think this might be the sexiest Catwoman since Batman Returns. Thymescira airlines is brilliant! Funniest shit I've seen in a while.
