I seriously doubt that the number of Democrats who support the appointment of a Justice just a few weeks before a national election rose 3%. As a matter of fact, other polling indicated that the nomination and confirmation of a SCOTUS Justice is unpopular at this point.
Nah... that's just the way we've done it for a while. I don't see any reason to keep doing it that way when you have an entire branch of Gov that's totally unaccountable to the people when another branch has used it to serve partisan means. Call it what you want but Court reform... and not just the SCOTUS, but all federal court reform should be on the table.
