omg I love these I heard a rumour of Manitoba and Nunavut thinking about building a highway from the main Manitoba network to Churchill then up into Nunavut... at that point, I hear that Nunavut might become partially aware Manitoba exists @CanuckistanForge: Does the portion of Québec that hates the rest of Canada also hate Alberta? And does the portion of Canada that doesn't hate Toronto consist of Rob Ford and/or @Spaceturkey?
LOVE IT! Man I miss the Huey. The last time I flew in one was 1992. After that it was Blackhawks and Chinooks mostly. Okay now I have to watch Platoon on netflix later today. I hope you're happy!
There's already a highway to Churchill. I've been there but haven't been farther north (at least within the province of Manitoba). Not sure why you'd want to go farther north than Churchill anyway. Yes. There is no part of Canada that doesn't hate Toronto. Everyone hates Toronto. Even Torontonians hate themselves, although a good portion of them won't admit it and instead will bore you to death with conversation about how Toronto is a "world-class city".
Ima hafta look at OpenStreetMap and Google Maps again, as I'm sure the only way into Churchill is by rail. Thompson otoh...
My memory sucks. You're right. I was in Thompson. I had flown into The Pas from Winnipeg and drove the rest of the way into Thompson, which took us about five hours. My companion and I spoke a lot about who the fuck wants to live all the way up in the middle of nowhere and talked about Churchill, which was even further north.
JTC. How long before the "White, Don't Where My People Came From" [but they were likely Scots/Irish indentured servants but we don't like to talk about it]" types drill down to "Don't Matter. We're all Merikans [as long as we can pass the paper bag test]!!!" is the standard"?
