OK, they are making a movie without the other characters? I haven't been paying attention since the late 80's, but did not watch the rescue rangers because of chip and dale. Has this been a thing without gadget and the fat aussie rat who I cannot recall the name of. I really wish there was a thing I could look up old shows and characters on.
And I just had a thought, I see chipmunks in the backyard at my mom's house. "How hard would it be to get two of those chipmunks to wear a tiny leather jacket and a tiny Hawaiian shirt?"
I'm genuinely surprised they didn't give Gadget "Furry Bait" Hackwrench more than two lines in this movie to get those fans shelling out dough TBH.
Gadget has more of a fandom than the chipmunks, and not just for the sexy mouse angle. Sure, guys are drooling over her, but she's smart, independent and blissfully unaware of her effect on them (most of the time). There are a lot of female fans who've claimed she was a positive role model. If anything, giving her more lines would be pandering to THEM instead of the "I had confused dreams about a talking mouse as a teen" crowd.
Oh, I don't disagree cuz I was one of them. All the other girl characters to that point in the Disney lineup included chicks with the personality of a door knob (or treated as such in canon in poor Webby Vanderquack's case), so it was nice to see one be fully included as part of the team.
OMG could you imagine Goselyn ending up with the trio? They could have been in an adventure since Gizmoduck and Launchpad are in both series.
