I know, they could name one of their ships corn pop, paint it black, and then Joe would try to throw them out of the pool for being black while swimming. Maybe they could give it an abortion and really get Joe's catholic dander up.

Basically this was not some pre-planned major exercise but a last minute major exercise which will give us a good idea of their quick response capabilities.

Also they are telegraphing their plans for a blockade of Taiwan.

It is the aviation branch of their Navy. But c’mon People’s Liberation Army Naval Air Force.

The last time China was this torqued about Taiwan. Nimitz lost our scheduled port calls in Australia (thanks ChiComs ) and we had to steam in circles in the Taiwan straights for three months (this was early 1996).

As someone who pays taxes in China, I am disappointed with all the wasteful theater.
